Runway ready! 💃✨

What a beautiful morning we had on Sunday! We teamed up with Taking Shape Chartwell for their inaugural national Dress for Success support event - and it was absolutely wonderful!

👗 Fashion show featuring our fabulous volunteers Leah, Saima, Sharon & Judy
🥂 Bubbles & nibbles for all
👜 Bags and BAGS of gorgeous donations
💕 A room full of generous, kind-hearted supporters

Huge thanks to Taking Shape for choosing to support our mission and for making this an annual event across Aotearoa! And to everyone who donated clothing, handbags, and funds - your generosity is helping change lives in the Waikato.

Our volunteer models were styled to perfection by the amazing Taking Shape team on Friday (thanks Carol Ann!), and absolutely shone on the runway Sunday! What an incredible group of wāhine. 🌟

Thank you for such a special, uplifting morning. We're already looking forward to next year!

Michelle Rae from Volunteering Waikato dropped in last Thursday with a gorgeous basket of goodies for our incredible volunteers.

Our volunteer stylists are the heart and soul of everything we do at Dress for Success Hamilton - and it means so much to have their dedication recognised by Volunteering Waikato.

"I didn't have any suitable clothing for working in an office space. They equipped me with clothing that fitted me, and made me feel happy in my own body." - Jovi Taylor

When 20-year-old broadcasting student Jovi posted in a Facebook group asking for office wear, two neighbours directed her to us. She was nervous at first, unsure if she'd even qualify - but she did, and it changed everything.

Today, Jovi is thriving in her dream internship, wearing her Dress for Success pieces daily, and recommending us to others - including her own sister.

✨ Five years of Julie! ✨

Yesterday we celebrated one of our most beloved volunteers, Julie, who has been showing up for the women of Dress for Success Hamilton for five whole years. 🌼

When Julie moved to Hamilton, she began looking for community and found her people here. She started as a stylist and now volunteers in our preloved store Rosy. In her own words, just being around uplifting women helped her feel more at home and confident in herself. That's exactly the magic we hope every woman who walks through our doors experiences too.

Julie, you are a gift to this mahi and to every woman you serve. Thank you for five beautiful years. 💛
