FEBC - New Zealand

FEBC - New Zealand FEBC NZ is part of the international radio network Far East Broadcasting Company, Mission Radio within reach of around 2/3s of the world's population.

More than 3 billion people from Asia to Africa are within reach of our broadcasts, but because of delivery costs, equipment needs, lack of awareness, and persecution, most are yet to hear that there is eternal life in Jesus Christ. Thanks to the help of supporters all over the world, we can provide radios, and broadcast programmes in their languages so that they can hear and believe. We broadcast

from numerous stations around the world using every format and method available: International Shortwave, local FM & AM, Internet Radio, and mobile applications, MP3 and iPod downloads etc.

A message of peace in a warzone

Eduard, FEBC Ukraine’s National Director shares what it means to know that God is near, even in the middle of war.

“I woke in the night during Christmas and looked out the window. A rocket streaked over my apartment and exploded nearby. Standing there praying, I didn’t ask God “Why.” I don’t ask the “why, Lord?” questions anymore because I felt him standing right beside me.”

Thank you, New Zealand, for announcing Emmanuel in Ukraine all year round.

Eduard’s message appeared in our quarterly Skywaves newsletter. If you’d like to receive these stories of faith, hope, and love via email or post, send us your details: [email protected]

Across Southeast Asia, many listeners who encounter Jesus through FEBC broadcasts are brand‑new believers. While their hearts are eager, many aren’t yet confident in sharing their faith - sometimes held back by uncertainty, cultural pressures, or fear of rejection.

Please pray for FEBC outreach training programmes and participants.

FEBC provides outreach and discipleship training through radio, online platforms, and in‑person gatherings where possible. These programmes offer Biblical teaching, evangelism skills, and leadership development, helping listeners grow as followers of Jesus and as lights within their families and communities.

Please pray:

🙏 That every participant will be strengthened in their walk with Christ.

🙏 That the Holy Spirit will give them courage, wisdom, and compassion as they share their faith.

🙏 That God will multiply the impact of FEBC’s training so that many more will hear and respond to the Good News.

May these new believers shine boldly for Jesus!

Isolated Hmong families live high in the mountains of Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, far beyond the reach of most Christian resources. But God is moving in powerful ways.

Through media, no one is beyond reach!

Every morning before dawn, FEBC broadcaster Phairot rises so the Hmong people can hear the hope of Jesus in their own heart language.
His livestreams now reach over 100,000 listeners, from remote mountain villages all the way into China, and God is using these programmes to break through the silence of loneliness.

Because of supporters around the world, and right here in New Zealand, God’s whisper is echoing across mountains and seas, reminding hearts everywhere:
“Do not be afraid, for I am with you.” (Isaiah 41:10)

Faith comes by hearing and hearing…

In our latest Skywaves newsletter, you can read the story of Embotsu from Indonesia.

He told us:

“At first, these songs and programs were nice to my ears. But later I found myself drawn to God. Then I realised I was not afraid of being alone anymore. I realised God is with me. So that’s when I turned to Jesus, and I know he is by my side.”

Thank you to our supporters who make stories like this possible – helping keep 7 FM stations on the air in Indonesia and our programmes playing on over 125 partner stations for people like Embotsu to hear.

In Ukraine, as the war continues, many listeners are longing for hope and someone to walk with them through their pain. FEBC counsellors continue to serve faithfully, offering comfort, prayer, and the hope of Christ to those who reach out in their brokenness.

🙏 Please pray that God will strengthen and encourage our counsellors, giving them wisdom, resilience, and compassion as they care for hurting hearts each day.

Persecuted but not alone

Nan is a 70-year-old widow living in a communist country in Southeast Asia, where Buddhism is the majority religion.

Although her family and neighbours practice ancestor worship, Nan listens to FEBC every day and shares what she hears when people are willing to listen.

After the death of her husband, her son gave her a painful choice: deny her faith or move out. Nan remained faithful to Jesus.

Through Christian broadcasts and the support of other believers, Nan found hope, practical help, and the assurance that nothing can separate her from God’s love.

Your prayers and support for FEBC provide inspiring broadcasts for people like Nan.
