Financial giving is woven into how we’re able to support early-stage social enterprises.

We have a named fund with Momentum Waikato Community Foundation, which allows people to give directly to support our work.

Right now, our friends at Momentum is supporting a national survey from Community Foundations of Aotearoa New Zealand to better understand what motivates people to give and what gets in the way.

If you’re in Waikato or anywhere in Aotearoa, it takes less than 10 minutes to share your perspective on giving. You can also choose to enter a draw to direct a $1,000 donation to a charity of your choice. Will you take a moment to complete it?

This year’s Women's Day theme is . It speaks to the ripple effect that happens when women are given support and opportunity.

The 15 female founders we’ve supported since All Good Ventures began in 2018 are a powerful example of this.

The majority of these women are using their own social enterprises to support other women facing hardship.

Through their ventures they are training female survivors of trafficking, mentoring women from underserved countries, creating income opportunities for talented women artisans and so much more.

Others are tackling different challenges in their communities, but with the same goal of improving lives.

Today we celebrate these 15 incredible women and the HUGE difference they are making for thousands of people around the world.

They are an excellent example of the “Give to Gain” idea in action… when women are supported to lead and build solutions, the impact reaches far beyond the individual.

What does success really look like?

For our co-founder Heather, the answer traces back to a quote she carried in her wallet for more than 25 years:

"To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded."

With International Women's Day upon us tomorrow, Heather is sharing the journey that led her to build her business, HMC, and later commit its profits to supporting early-stage social entrepreneurs around the world through All Good Ventures.

It’s a thoughtful reflection on purpose, generosity, and building something that truly matters.
