Today, our students split into three groups for the morning. One group observed Nurse Alen in the clinic, learning how medical care is provided on-site. Another group put the first coat of paint on the outpatient ward, while the final group started the Days for Girls project—handing out reusable pads and teaching local girls and women how to use them. After lunch, we traveled to a local village with all the children for a tour, then wrapped up the day with a paddle in the lagoon! ( Thanks to Ruby for the write up)

Day 4 Honiara to Auki

Day 3: Today, The team traveled back to TNK to attend the ceremony for Sister Anneth's life profession. This was a big event as roughly 500 guests have showed up for the chapel service. The Anglican chapel services were very different from ones in New Zealand, especially singing the hymns. After this, we went up on stage to perform two Waiatas for the people: He Honore and Tutira Mai. After a few quick speeches we wrapped up at TNK to head back to SINU for a quick pitstop before we went to the heritage hotel for a swim in the pool. Finally, we went back to SINU for dinner and reflections and an early night as everyone has given their 100% today. One thing I noticed today is how the community at TNK came together to create an atmosphere that makes any guests feel at home. 🇸🇧🌴🇳🇿🙏⚔️🏊‍♀️😎
