We were proud to support Mīharo Murihiku Polyfest 2026, and what a week it was.

Now in its 17th year, the festival brought together:

9,200+ performers across the five days
50,000+ people through the stadium
Three nights and five days of performances
Dance workshops with Sefa Enari and graduates from Pacific Dance New Zealand
Two days of printmaking with Cook Islands artist Numa MacKenzie
420,000+ livestream and Facebook views, reaching 56 countries!

The first daffodils have arrived! We're proud to support Cancer Society Southern, especially as Daffodil Day week approaches. More than 3,200 volunteers come together across the region, aiming to raise $1.6 million to provide vital support, information, accommodation and care for people affected by cancer and their whānau.
Here's to a successful Daffodil Day. 🌼

Exciting news from the Spirit of Adventure Trust ⛵

We're proud to support the renewal project underway on the much loved tall ship - the Spirit of New Zealand. She's recently sailed north to Whangārei, with 40 young people on board, where major upgrades are taking place, from a new power management system with lithium battery storage to engine repairs and a new water maker.

It all keeps Spirit sailing strong, giving young New Zealanders the chance to challenge themselves, build confidence and discover what they're capable of.

Here's to many more voyages ahead. 🌊

We were proud to support Light Up Winter Cromwell this year, and what a night it was. A huge congratulations to the Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group for working hard to keep Light Up Winter free and open to all, and to everyone who came out to be part of the magic.

Winter has arrived in Fiordland, and The Ranch Bar and Grill in Te Anau is wearing it beautifully.
Our venues are at the heart of what we do. Every one of our venue partners around the motu helps generate the funding that flows back into local sport, education, arts and community projects, including right here in the deep south.

We are open for funding applications and we support not-for-profit groups across a wide range of kaupapa:
– Amateur sport with gear, uniforms, travel and running costs
– Education from kindergartens through to colleges
– Arts and culture like festivals, exhibitions and local creative mahi
– Health and welfare services that help our people thrive
– Community projects that bring people together
Whether it's day-to-day operating costs or a one-off project, we're here to help good ideas get off the ground.

The Colac Bay Surfer has stood watch over Ōraka Colac Bay for 25 years, not bad for a statue built to last ten. Significant erosion has now left it beyond repair and scheduled for demolition.
For a community whose identity is so tied to surfing, that would be a real loss. So the Colac Bay & District Progress League, with strong community backing and alongside Southland District Council, has developed plans for a replacement built to last at least 30 years.
We are pleased to share that we have awarded a grant towards the Save The Colac Bay Surfer project, and we look forward to seeing the next Colac Bay Surfer take its place on the coast!

AGT are proud to support the Kaikōura Dark Sky Trust and their work leading community education and practical support to help reduce light pollution in Kaikōura.

Working alongside residents, businesses, schools and organisations, the Trust is helping improve outdoor lighting practices to protect the area’s International Dark Sky Sanctuary status and support its journey toward Dark Sky Community accreditation.

This initiative will help strengthen Kaikōura’s reputation as a destination for astro-tourism, supporting both the local community and economy while preserving its incredible night skies for future generations.

AGT are proud to support the NZ Choral Federation and The Big Sing, New Zealand’s leading secondary school choir festival 🎤

Taking place from 27–29 August at Christchurch Town Hall, this incredible event brings together 9,000 students aged 12–18 from across Aotearoa, celebrating the talent of young performers nationwide.

The Christchurch finale will feature 24 outstanding school choirs following regional and Cadenza festivals, culminating in a spectacular gala concert across three unforgettable days.
