Are you on the Committee of an Incorporated Society? Have you re-registered? If not then, come 5 April, your organisation will no longer legally exist, affecting your banking, among other things.

If you are not sure if this affects you, or if you are an incorporated society, then drop us a line. We can quickly check for you, free of charge.

Around 18,000 incorporated societies across New Zealand are yet to re-register under new legislation, prompting warnings that thousands of clubs will simply fold.

Charities and community organisations can no longer rely on grant funding to sustain them. The funding pool continues to shrink, with demand only increasing. Whatever the cause, this is an international phenomenon, as noted by the Stanford Social Innovation Review. For organisations to survive and continue to deliver on their mission, a broader, sustainable funding strategy is essential in 2026.

At Weave Together this year, one of our key areas is helping organisations build this framework. Using the resources they have, and without huge expense. It's a mindset shift, but it's an essential one. If you'd like to talk through your funding strategy for 2026 in a free, we'd love to have a chat.

In the face of current funding uncertainty, US nonprofits must innovate to sustain their missions.
