🙏 Massive shout out to our food vendors for their huge smiles and so many yummy offerings!

🥰 AND extra special thanks to them for coming early on Saturday and serving everything up for our Relaxed Sensory Session goers - a lot of whom don’t get to experience food trucks because of the usual overwhelming atmosphere.

💖 We are SO grateful to have worked with such a wonderful group!

✨🏮 OUR HEARTS ARE FULL! 🏮✨

We are absolutely overjoyed with this year's Lantern Parade! 🌙💛

🤹‍♂️ One of the things we heard loud and clear from our community was that you wanted an even bigger spectacle, and we have had so much fun bringing a little extra Midwinter magic to the parade with more performers, more movement and more joy.

🥁 Huge thanks to Kododo African Drumming for keeping the beat and bringing such incredible energy to the procession.

💃 Thank you to Rasa, Khamzin Belly Dancers and Jay Juggler for adding another beautiful performative layer and helping create such a magical atmosphere.

🏮 To everyone who attended our Meridian Mall Dunedin and Tūhura Otago Museum workshops - thank you for your creativity, your enthusiasm, and your smiling happy faces. Seeing your lanterns in the parade was pure joy.

✨ A huge shout out to our amazing crew, who not only helped lead the procession but also got to share the experience with their own wee ones, some really special moments created!

And to our incredible volunteers - thank you for supporting our Meridian Mall workshops, carrying lanterns, guiding participants and helping spread that Midwinter magic every step of the way.

Our cups are full! 💙✨

We have had an absolute blast sharing a little magic with you as we head into winter, and these wee faces say it all!

Thank you, Ōtepoti, for showing up in full force and making this year's Dunedin Midwinter Carnival so special. Roughly 8,000 people joined us across the weekend, and what an incredible time we've had!

A huge shout out to our AMAZING crew, our trustees, document crew, volunteers, market vendors, first aid team, waste team, mulled wine crew, Krishna Kai! Huge thanks to our PHENOMENAL performers Turama ite Ara, our story tellers, DYO, J-Mo, the amazingly dedicated Bubble Lady, Xavier, Doug and the Brophy Aerial Studios! MASSIVE thanks to RASA School of Dance Khamzin Belly Dancers, Kadodo African Drumming, Jay Juggler and to the Moa (thaaaaanks Floris) for bringing the vibes to our parade.

It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful to each and every one of you.

Special thanks to Rev Ed and the team at First Church for so graciously hosting us in such a beautiful space. And to Gravity - the G.O.A.T! You effortlessly make this event look and sound slick every single year!

And of course, thank you to all these wonderful happy faces captured in these photos. 🥰

We'll be sharing plenty more photos and videos over the coming week, but for now it's time to pack down, edit all the memories, and finally put our feet up.

A friendly reminder that ticket scammers are unfortunately active at this time of year, and we suspect some may already be attempting to sell tickets through comments on our event page.

While we'll do our best to monitor and remove suspicious comments and accounts, this is ultimately outside of our control and we recommend avoiding this and only booking directly through us.

�✨ Fewer than 200 tickets remain for today's 5.30pm session.
�✨ Both 7.30pm sessions currently still have good availability.

Once the earlier sessions sell out, tickets for the later sessions start moving very quickly, so if you're planning to attend, we'd recommend booking sooner rather than later.
