With 30 staff and 40+ volunteers, CILT provides transport, social support, sustainability initiatives, and creative programmes. Founded in 1994 with a focus on disability issues, the Coromandel Independent Living Trust (CILT) has evolved into a comprehensive community services provider for the Upper-Coromandel Peninsula. Based in Te Pūtahi Whaiora (150 Pound Street, Coromandel) we offer a diverse
array of programmes and services tailored to meet the needs of our community. With a dedicated team of around 30 staff members and over 50 local volunteers, our transport and disability programmes have become vital to many residents. Currently, we run more than 15 programmes across 10 sites, addressing a variety of needs including rural isolation, disability services, education, environmental initiatives, digital connectivity, and whanau support services. We foster a family-oriented work culture, which, combined with the diversity and expertise of our programmes, encourages significant collaboration and support among our teams. Our flexibility enables us to connect individuals with a broad range of services, both within CILT and in the wider community.
