Seeking blessings from our teachers...

It was a privilege to attend the staged examinations for Carnatic Music organised by the New Zealand Carnatic Music Society in Wellington.

What truly inspired me was seeing young students confidently discussing concepts such as swaras, thaalam, sthaayi, krithis, and naadam with such depth, understanding, and passion. It is heartening to witness the next generation embracing our rich musical heritage with such dedication.

Moments like these strengthen my belief that we can nurture the same vibrant learning culture in our own Garden City. I sincerely hope to bring this experience to Christchurch one day and inspire many more young musicians on their Carnatic music journey.

Half of the year has already flown by, and our students have been working diligently to grow and excel in their dance journey.

We are delighted to announce that the June OFAAL examination results have been published, and every one of our students has achieved Distinction!

We are especially proud to celebrate our very first Grade 3 candidate, who has also passed with Distinction—a wonderful milestone for Revathi Performing Arts.

Heartfelt congratulations to all our students on this outstanding achievement. Your dedication, perseverance, and love for Bharathanatyam have truly paid off. Our sincere appreciation also goes to the parents for their constant encouragement and support throughout this journey.

Wishing everyone continued success as we move into the second half of the year. Keep learning, keep growing, and keep dancing ! 🎊🎊🎊🎉🎉🎉

Music is considered a harmonious combination of vocal music, instrumental music, and dance. In the Indian tradition, the unified expression of these three art forms is regarded as the complete manifestation of music.

On this World Music Day, I am truly humbled and grateful to share the musical and artistic journey of Revathi Performing Arts, featured on the Rising Beyond Borders Podcast hosted by Shampi Guptha.

This journey reflects our commitment to preserving, promoting, and sharing the rich traditions of Indian music and dance while building cultural connections within our community and beyond.

My sincere gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey—students, parents, supporters, artists, and well-wishers. Your encouragement continues to inspire us to learn, perform, and grow together through the beautiful language of music.

Happy World Music Day! 🎶🎻💃

Karnamrutham was a truly memorable evening that took the Rasikas on a sublime musical journey. Every rāga and kṛti was rendered with depth, authenticity, and brilliance, making the concert thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

The artists captivated the audience with their exceptional skill, creativity, and command over the art form. Their soulful presentation, intricate manodharma, and seamless coordination left everyone spellbound and elevated the concert experience to another level.

A heartfelt thank you to the performers, accompanists, sponsors, volunteers, and all the Rasikas whose presence and support made this event a grand success. We are grateful to have shared such a beautiful celebration of Carnatic music with our community.
