The GeneNow Ltd.

The GeneNow Ltd. GeneNow is short for Generation Now. The GeneNow Financial Literacy Trust acknowledges mana whenua as the custodians of the land on which we live and work.

We engage & empower local communities across Aotearoa , through korero/conversations and practical steps towards achieving personal goals. Our Christian Trust (in short: The GeneNow Trust) was founded in 2015 as a faith-based nonprofit organisation with an aim to interconnect local communities and empower people to make a positive social change every day. The GeneNow Trust team provides Financial

literacy, Intercultural education and Conversational skills workshops to support life skills and build sustainable communities together with vulnerable persons and migrants in Aotearoa, New Zealand (including Mana whenua and Mana Moana). There are three core edu-programs:
Financial Literacy, Food Literacy, DIY – run by our team and committed volunteers. There is a strong will to expand the aim and scope of the organisation and focus more on Media and information literacy (MIL) and MIL research because it is needed in the era of the global pandemic covid-19 and election campaign in the country. The GeneNow trust's community workshops and educational trainings enable participants to gain confidence in having enriching conversations about saving their finances, maintaining health (physically and mentally), sustainable shopping and cooking while enjoying their intercultural dialogue. The GeneNow trust is also organizing community events across Auckland in order to tackle discrimination issues and to present Zero waste movement in practical way.
