🐝💚 A Meaningful Evening at Pakuranga Toastmasters!

What a fun and memorable meeting! ✨

We shared memorable moments from our lives, learned more about how to give effective speech evaluations, and explored the power of body language through a fun story about bees. 🐝🎤

And of course, we finished the evening on a sweet note—celebrating our August birthdays with delicious cupcakes! 🧁🎂🥳

Another wonderful night of sharing, learning, laughter, and connection. Every story, every speech, and every smile makes our Toastmasters journey special.

🌊 What an incredible Odyssey! ⚓✨

Our latest Pakuranga Toastmasters meeting took us on a journey of discovery, with the Odyssey theme woven beautifully throughout every session.

Our three speakers shared inspiring stories and valuable insights from their own life journeys and from books that have shaped them. The Table Topics session also embraced the theme perfectly, inviting everyone to reflect on the adventures, challenges, and experiences that have made us who we are. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about each other’s unique journeys.

✨ We had a wonderful Toastmasters meeting! ✨

This week’s theme, “Wisdom from Experience,” reminded us that every challenge, every conversation, and every opportunity to speak helps us grow into more confident communicators and leaders.

Our members shared three inspiring speeches:

🎤 “Missed Opportunities” – Monique Dignadice reflected on the moments that shape our lives and the lessons hidden behind every missed chance.

🎤 “Meeting Myself, Again” – Cindy Zhu took us on a personal journey of self-discovery, reminding us that growth often begins with getting to know ourselves anew.

🎤 “Scaredy Cat” – Eesan Balasubramaniam demonstrated how powerful body language can bring a story to life, proving that communication is much more than words.

We also enjoyed an engaging Table Topics session, where members stepped out of their comfort zones to deliver impromptu speeches, followed by thoughtful evaluations that encouraged every speaker to continue growing.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the meeting—from our speakers and evaluators to our role holders who kept the meeting running smoothly. Your enthusiasm and support are what make our club such a welcoming place to learn.

🌟 Mid-Year Milestones – Another Inspiring Toastmasters Meeting! 🌟

What a fantastic evening of learning, growth, and celebration as we reflected on our progress at the halfway point of the year.

👏 A special shout-out to our Madam Toastmaster Tingting Hu who has a wonderful smile and great transition to engage everyone of us.

A big thank you to our speakers for sharing their stories and insights:

🎤 Maxwell Mkoki took us on a heartfelt journey with Finding Your Feet in a New Land, sharing the challenges and rewards of starting fresh in a new country.

🎤 Nijaya Senarath delivered a purposeful speech that demonstrated the power of having a clear message and a well-defined objective.

🎤 Jane Guo showed how connecting with your audience by using good vocal variety and eye contact, reminding us that effective communication is as much about content and adapting as it is about speaking .

A big thanks to our Table Topics Master Eesan Balasubramaniam prepared a series of creative and thought-provoking questions linked to significant milestones in human history—from the invention of the wheel, to the beginnings of farming, and the birth of democracy. These prompts inspired our members to think on their feet and deliver fun, engaging, and impressive impromptu speeches. Well done to everyone who stepped up to the challenge!

As we celebrate our mid-year milestones, it’s a great reminder that every speech delivered, every role undertaken, and every challenge embraced is a step forward on our Toastmasters journey.

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and supported the meeting. Here’s to continuing our growth, achieving our goals, and celebrating many more milestones in the months ahead! 🚀
