With much sadness, we share the passing of Elizabeth Audrey (Betsy) Hanlon, who passed away unexpectedly on 24 September 2026.

Betsy was a dearly loved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend to many. She was the precious daughter of the late Vailima (née Manoah) and Neil Hanlon, and sister of the late Marilyn and Dawn.

She was a loved sister-in-law to Ronnie Matefeo, aunt to John, Reuben and Sophia, and great-aunt to Melia Vailima Matafeo-O’Brien. Betsy was also a treasured niece of the Manoah family and deeply loved by her many cousins and their families.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and managers at IDEA Services for the care and support they provided Betsy over many years.

“Haere rā, e Betsy. You will always be loved.”

A service to celebrate Betsy’s life will be held at 11:00am today, Monday, 28 September 2026, at Morrisons Funerals, 20 Universal Drive, Henderson, followed by light refreshments.

Betsy will then take her final journey to Waikumete Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest at 2:00pm with her mother, Vailima, and next to her sister Marilyn.

With heartfelt sadness, we share the passing of Daphne Ella Sunderland, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 22 September 2026.

Daphne was a much-loved Mum, best mate and very special part of Penny, Andrew and granddaughter Sarah’s lives. Her family feels incredibly lucky to have had her and will treasure the memories they shared together for the rest of their lives.

Daphne’s service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, 28 September 2026, in the Garden Chapel at Morrisons Funeral Home, Universal Drive.

With heartfelt sadness, we share the passing of Graham David (Nobby) Smales, who passed away peacefully on 22 September 2026, in his 89th year, following a short stay in hospital.

Graham was the devoted husband of Dorothy, a much-loved father to Heather, Karen and Ross, and a cherished Grandad to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Marino Ward at Auckland Hospital for their care and support.

A service to celebrate Graham’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, 25 September 2026, at Central Park Chapel, Davis Funerals, 150 Central Park Drive, Henderson.

With heartfelt sadness, we share the passing of Levonne Hart (née Kitchen), who passed away on 22 September 2026.

Levonne was the adored wife of Andrew and loving mother of Zane. She was the treasured daughter of the late Graeme and Margaret Kitchen, dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Jenny and Scott, Michelle and Roland, and the late Susan, and a loved Aunty to Jake, Ryan, Renee, Max and Theo.

“Be free and rest peacefully.”

A service to celebrate Levonne’s life will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at The North Harbour Chapel of Dil’s Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany.

A livestream of the service will also be available for those unable to attend.

With heartfelt sadness, we share the passing of Paul James Hutchinson, who passed away peacefully on Monday, 21 September 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was the dearly loved husband of Cathy, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. He was a much-loved and proud father to Kylie, Rod, Rebecca and Alex, and a cherished grandfather to 12 grandchildren.

Paul will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, 27 September 2026, at Akarana Yacht Club.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s name to Mercy Hospice would be appreciated.
