The Manurewa Community Network is a self supporting group of community agencies who meet each month to learn and support each other within the agencies we work with, in the Manurewa area. The Manurewa Community Network organises and runs the Community Expo's that are held each year in both Clendon (April/May), and the Manurewa Town Centre (October). The event is a fun whole whanau event held in Clendon and also at the Southmall Shopping Centre. Enjoy entertainment, interactive activities from up to 100 stall holders covering safety, health, youth, children, senior citizens, waste minimisation, community, clubs, sports, training and education, employment, music and performing arts. Come along to one of the network's monthly meetings, or take part in the community expos to promote your organisation to the wider community. EcoFest 2027

Kia ora koutou katoa,

EcoFest is Tāmaki Makaurau’s largest annual eco-focused festival, celebrating sustainable living, environmental conservation and practical climate action.
Now in its 15th year, the festival’s mission is to build resilience and make sustainable living a reality for Aucklanders of all ages, no matter where they are on their sustainability journey.

The festival is growing year-on-year and reaching new neighbourhoods across Tāmaki Makaurau, with over 600 events hosted and more than 26,000 reported
event attendees in 2026.

We’re also thrilled to share that EcoFest has been named a finalist for the 2026 Sustainable Business Awards – Community Collaboration Award, recognising the collective effort of the hundreds of community groups, organisations and event hosts who come together each year to create meaningful opportunities for people to connect, learn and take action for Te Taiao.

If you know anyone whose kaupapa and mahi is a good fit with the values and activities of this month-long celebration, please forward this email to them. This could be especially relevant for new staff in your organisation, new eco businesses in your area, innovative community projects, education groups and rangatahi networks.
The 2027 festival will run from 22 March to 22 April and event registrations will open at the end of October.

Anyone is very welcome to get in touch for a chat by emailing Ana at [email protected].

FYI.

Kia ora koutou,

I am sharing this exciting new research kaupapa with you all in the hope that someone with an ACL injury may be interested in contributing their views and healing journey wisdom! Why? To better understand Pasifika and Māori ACL healing journeys of cross-brace or rehab, and understand where improvements in care and other provisions can be made for future generations.

ENCORE Research Project Information:

Have you recently torn your ACL or know someone who has? 🦵😬
Take part in new research finding the best rehab for ACL injuries.

The ENCORE study is testing if a new knee bracing regime can improve recovery after ACL injury.

• One group wears a brace limiting knee movement for eight weeks
• Both groups receive high-quality rehab from trained clinicians

OUR GOAL: to find the best non-surgical treatment for ACL injuries and improve access to care, especially for Māori and Pacific communities.

WHAT WILL YOU RECEIVE?
• High-quality rehab
• Care from specially trained clinicians
• Up to $130 in gift vouchers
