One of the Drive team projects we work with throughout the year are the LSV Courses at Whenuapai.

We have had a blast at the most recent course, with amazing passes, and a whopping 34 new licences achieved across Learners, Restricted and Full licences.

We wish all the best to the trainees graduating tomorrow!
Thanks heaps to the on the ground MSD, and Defense teams that we work with to logistically to pull this together.

If you’re 16 years or older and want to get your learner driver licence in just 3 days, or know someone who is keen, we’re letting you know we are back again these school holidays with our Driver Learner Licence course.
The course is being held on the 7th, 8th and 9th April 2026, 9.30am-3pm
At Outwest Your Community Trust
1 Gerald Stokes Avenue, Helensville
In this course we will spend the first 2 days teaching our participants the theory at Outwest Youth, in Helensville where lunch will be provided by us. Then on the 3rd day, you will all have the chance to sit your test, here in Helensville with the Portable Testing Team from VTNZ.
This course is FREE to students 16yrs and older, and does not include the NZTA licence fee ($96.10), which each participant will need to pay for to sit their test, however if this is an issue please let us know, we may be able to access funding for this.

We're absolutely blown away by the media buzz AND the incredible support from our Te Awaroa Helensville whānau! Outwest Youth has been around for 16 years, and we've always known we are part of a great community. Our experience these last weeks has proved this to be truer than ever.

The exciting update: Thanks to your generosity plus Mazda NZ's support, we're getting that new dual control car and can keep providing local driver licence help right here in our neighborhood.
