Avondale 828! Where we rehearse 💯

Massive congratulations to the United Auckland Gospel Choir who won Gold in the Gospel division at the 2026 World Choir Games in Helsingborg Sweden earlier this week.

When choir master, pianist and Avondale local Seumanu Seuoti Simon Matāfai was asked what set them apart from other groups, he replied “the choir’s multigenerational, multicultural make‑up - and the way they sing from the heart - remains their greatest strength.”
