🏆 Northern Region Pool Rescue Championships 2026 is a wrap!

Congratulations to Red Beach SLSC, winners of the Cosgrove Trophy for Top Overall Club. An incredible weekend of competition saw multiple National Records broken across both individual and team events.

INTERMEDIATE LIFEGUARD SCHOOL

Ready to take the next step in your Surf Life Saving pathway?

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your practical lifesaving skills, learn from experienced instructors, build confidence, and train alongside lifeguards from across the region.

Dates: 10–11 October 2026
Start: 8:00am
Location: United North Piha

Prerequisites:
- Current active patrolling member of a SLS Club
- At least 15 years old
- Completed at least one season of active patrolling
- Current Surf Lifeguard Award (SLA)
- Current Surf First Aid certificate
- Radio Communication Module or Marine VHF Radio Operators Certificate
- 400m timed swim under 8 minutes, supervised by an official, examiner or club instructor

If you're looking to challenge yourself, build your skills and take the next step in your lifesaving journey, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

We're recruiting:
- Seasonal Event Safety Lead
- Seasonal Event Safety Support

Whether you're an experienced leader ready to lead Event Guard operations or a dependable team player keen to support water safety and event delivery, you'll play a vital role in creating safe, professional and enjoyable events for our members and communities.

Join a purpose-driven team committed to ensuring every competitor, volunteer and supporter returns home safe.

Help make a difference for wāhine across our region!

We're seeking two passionate volunteers to join the Northern Region Membership Development Committee and co-lead the Wāhine on Water Portfolio.

If you're passionate about creating opportunities for women to develop their skills, grow their confidence, and build leadership capabilities, we'd love to hear from you.

As part of the committee, you'll help plan and deliver member initiatives, collaborate with volunteers and staff, and contribute to the future direction of Wāhine on Water in the Northern Region.
