Massey Matters is a community development - and community-led development - agency based in Massey, West Auckland. Through our mahi we engage Massey communities in different ways according to their needs, wants and dreams. We are committed to providing opportunities for our people and strive to find new ways to inform and support them. We strive to be a significant part of our community, adding va

lue to their lives that enable them to thrive. It's all tied into our Vision: "Thriving Local Communities"

We have been actively promoting and supporting the communities in Massey for nearly a decade as a registered charity. In that time we have developed and run initiatives that benefit our local residents and those from neighbouring suburbs. We routinely run free community events, manage two community hubs on behalf of Auckland Council, support local initiatives through a match fund and help our communities to develop and thrive through a range of programmes and activities.

Huge shout out to the amazing team at the Waitakere Indian Association ❤️

Every Friday, this incredible crew are up bright and early preparing what feels like an endless supply of fresh, hot meals for our community. Week after week, without fail, they make sure both of our hubs and many other locations are stocked with delicious kai for those who need it most.

I (boss lady) was lucky enough to get a little behind the scenes sneak peek this morning with Robert and met some of the faces behind the hard work. Seeing the care, teamwork, and dedication that goes into preparing these meals was truly special.

Their generosity and commitment to serving others does not go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful not only for the support they provide our community, but also for the friendship and partnership we’ve built together over the years.

Communities are stronger when we support one another, and we are very lucky to call this team our friends. Thank you for everything you do 🙏🍛💛

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at Mānutewhau Community Hub for our Massey Community-led plan hui. As you can see, this was very much a 'Do-ey Hui' with great ideas and solid plans put down paving positive pathways for tomorrow that are available to all!

It was inspiring to see so many local groups, organisations, and community voices coming together to help shape positive, accessible programmes, activities, and future plans for our Massey community.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support Michael Alofa and the Henderson-Massey Local Board in helping make this initiative possible. Together, we’re building stronger connections and creating a community-led future for Massey. 💛

The weather was outstanding, and the vibes matched perfectly. 😃

We had a colouring competition, choosing the winners was not easy, with over 25 entries the competition was fierce.

Congratulations to our two winners and two runners-up.
