π§Έ What does Volunteer Toy Library duty REALLY look like?
We know the word βdutyβ can sound a little scary, but we promise itβs nothing to be nervous about! β€οΈ
As part of our membership options, members can choose to complete 2 x 2-hour volunteer sessions over the course of the year in exchange for a cheaper membership. They don't have to be completed at the same time β you can spread your two sessions throughout the year to suit you. π
So, what do you actually do?
The main job is to check off returned toys, give them a clean and put them back on the shelves ready for their next little adventurer. π§Όπ§Έ
There are also other little jobs you might help with, like processing and labelling new toys, organising things, and, during quieter times, giving our shelves and storage areas a good tidy and clean.
You don't need to know where everything goes, you don't need any special skills and you certainly don't need to be a Toy Library expert! π We'll show you what to do, and you're never left wondering what you're supposed to be doing.
And as you can see from our photosβ¦ sometimes little helpers join in too! π₯°
Our Toy Library is powered by wonderful volunteers, and every two-hour session makes a real difference in keeping our toys clean, complete, organised and ready for families to enjoy.
So if you've been thinking βI'd love the cheaper membership, but I'm a bit nervous about doing dutyβ¦β β come and give it a go! β€οΈ
We promise it's not scary. It's just two 2-hour sessions across the year, a few toys, a bit of cleaning and being part of our lovely Toy Library community. π§Έβ¨
We'd love to have you on the team! π
