� ABOUT:
Run in partnership by Qtopia, the YMCA, and BASE Youth Centre, this is a social group for the whole LGBTQIA+ community. Qtopia groups are loads of fun and there are always snacks, activities, and good vibes. We know coming along to a group for the first time can be scary, but we are super friendly, welcoming and so excited to meet you! Feel free to get in touch if you or your whānau would like to meet with us before coming along, or just to talk about ways we can support you.

� WHAT TO EXPECT:
Groups always begins with a check-in, where everyone shares their names, pronouns and a little about what's going on for them at the moment. There's no expectation to share if you don't feel comfortable, but we always make sure everyone is introduced and you know who the facilitators are
Some weeks we will have an event or activity planned - in the past we've had: crafts, cards and board games, poetry, writing for comedy, meditation and mindfulness, yoga, financial literacy, movie nights, dress-up parties, workshops, discussion panels, dance offs and more. Other weeks, we spend time hanging out, making friends and talking.
