We had a lovely evening having a good look around Ashburton Event Centre it was amazing and lots that go on in the background, then we headed to Speights for a beautiful meal

We love supporting other groups supporting our community too!!
Recently, some members enjoyed a lovely night out together at Handbags and Gladrags, a fundraiser for Safe Families Ashburton. We donated a beautiful bag full of lovely goodies.....congratulations to Sally for her winning bid on our bag.
Two members were also lucky to win other donated bags.... a fun night out was had by all !!

Supporting local, national and International causes is 1 of the reasons our members choose to join!

It was great that we were able to offer our support in Ashburton today!

Today there are groups of Inner Wheel ladies across the motu out collecting donations and raising awareness for cancer research, prevention programmes, and patient and whānau support services for the NZ Cancer Societies' Daffodil Day.

Thank you all for your time in this winter weather to support the 1 in 3 New Zealanders who will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, with 81 Kiwis hearing "you have cancer" every day.

When Stacey Schultz was first diagnosed with cancer, she didn't cry. But when she was told she would lose her hair, everything changed.

"When cancer comes into your life, everything shifts. You feel shocked, like something has been taken from you. Not just your health, but parts of who you are."

Like so many people facing cancer, Stacey found herself navigating a world of appointments, treatments, uncertainty and change. There was a time, she says, when cancer became everything.

"It took my name and replaced it with a patient number."

Then she discovered Cancer Support New Zealand.

At first, Stacey joined online sessions with her camera turned off. Her confidence was gone, and she barely recognised herself. But as she connected with others who understood what she was going through, something shifted.

"You see people show up exactly as they are. Bald, tired, scared... and still showing up. You realise you're not alone. That changes something inside you."
