Beyond the Steering: Conversations on Stress, Strength and Mental Wellness🧠💙

What happens when we take mental health conversations beyond conference rooms into the communities where they are needed most?

YALI Network Oyo State embarked on a Mental Health Awareness Outreach at Bodija Motor Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026, engaging commercial drivers and members of the surrounding community through an awareness walk, one-on-one conversations, small-group discussions, and the distribution of educational handbills.

We reached over 100 participants, creating a safe space to talk about stress, emotional well-being, healthy coping strategies, and the importance of seeking support.

Because behind every steering wheel is a person navigating not only the roads but also the pressures of everyday life.

Mental health is health.
Mental health is everybody's business.

What the June Physical Meetup felt like. 🎉

The June Physical Meetup of YALI Network Oyo State in collaboration with Business Connect Community (BCCC) was a refreshing blend of learning, networking, and meaningful conversations.

The first Guest speaker, Ms. Nada Kodami reminded us that your brand is your power. Ensure you build it with clarity, consistency, and value.

Mr. Baba Tunde George emphasized that personal development is the real investment, leaving us with a powerful reminder: "Professionals create; amateurs compete."

Mrs. Ogunleye Aderinsola showed us that opportunities flow through relationships, credibility, and intentional networking.

The interactive session, moderated by Mr. Israel Alabi , the Coordinator of YALI NETWORK OYO STATE was packed with practical gems, from avoiding common grant application mistakes and understanding the difference between a business and a start-up, to building genuine relationships, navigating workplace challenges with emotional intelligence, and refusing to let your environment define your future.
