A library should be more than a room filled with books. 📚❤️

It should be a place where young minds learn to think, question, create, solve problems, and believe in themselves.

At our Community Library Project, we are creating spaces where children can discover that learning goes beyond the pages of a book.

♟️ Through our introduction to chess, our young learners are beginning to understand strategy, patience, critical thinking, decision-making, and the courage to think several steps ahead.
Thanks to our tutors Blazing Kings Games Club

We are not just teaching children how to play chess. We are helping them develop the skills to navigate life.

Every move on the board is a lesson.
Every question is an opportunity to grow.
Every child is a possibility waiting to be nurtured. 🌱✨

This is what we believe community libraries can be; spaces where curiosity is welcomed, potential is nurtured, and learning comes alive.

What if the world was speaking… but you were never given the chance to be heard? 🤟🏽💙

For millions of Deaf people around the world, communication is not a privilege, it is a right.

Sign language is more than hand movements.
It is language.
It is identity.
It is connection.
It is how people learn, express themselves, build relationships, access healthcare, pursue education and participate fully in society.

Yet too many Deaf children and young people still grow up in environments where their language is not understood, their voices are overlooked, and their needs are treated as an afterthought.

On International Day of Sign Languages, we are reminded that inclusion is not simply about inviting people into the room.

It is about making sure they can communicate, participate, be understood and belong.

🤟🏽 Learn a sign.
🤟🏽 Teach someone else.
🤟🏽 Make your school, workplace and community more accessible.
🤟🏽 Listen
🤟🏽 And most importantly, don’t wait for a Deaf person to ask for inclusion before you create it.

Because communication should never be a barrier to dignity, opportunity or belonging.

Adolescents deserve access to accurate health information, safe spaces, supportive adults, and opportunities to thrive 🌍💙

AFAY Health Initiative , we believe that creating healthier communities means leaving no young person behind

Puberty can be confusing. But young people shouldn’t have to navigate it alone. 💛

Talking about puberty helps young people understand the changes happening in their bodies, ask questions, and feel more prepared for growing up.🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒✨

And no, these conversations shouldn’t be awkward or something we avoid.

They should be normal, honest, age-appropriate, and judgement-free 🫶🏽

Because when young people have the right information, they can grow with confidence, not confusion.
