Why Rich People are ‘Stingy’ – David Ibiyeomie

David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has given some reasons why the rich always look stingy before other people. He stated this during the third service of the church while advising the members of the church and others to cut down on their expenses.



Reading from the Bible book of Proverbs 18:9, Ibiyeomie said God detest waste. According to him, waste is spending without budgeting. He advised the members not to just go for pleasure but to be investment conscious.

He said, “Take a look at the rich, they are very stingy. This is because they work hard to earn their money. They will not waste it. Look at people like Dangote, and others who are working to earn money, they live simple lives

If you ever work to earn money, you will think twice before spending it. The current situation of things in the country demands that you cut down your expenses where necessary. Spend to go to church, for food and to go work. He charged them to think of investment more than they think of pleasure. He said for nine good years, he never travel because he was investing.

He said, “Be more investment conscious than spending. Prudent people think of investment. Think of things that will bring profits. Invest in your life for better future. Especially now, invest in your brain, invest in your academy, invest in your business.

“Pleasure without limit will end in penury. The rich who have money don’t spend it anyhow. Only people around them thus. Their children and relations but the person who work for his money will spend it wisely. Don’t earn to waste, earn to invest” – He concluded.
