Things we wholeheartedly believe in:

Education should not stop at knowledge. It should lead to real-world opportunities.

Young people deserve more than information they deserve skills they can use, build with, and grow from.

Opportunities should not be reserved for a select few they should be accessible to every young person willing to learn and step forward.

Because there are young people with ideas, with drive, with the willingness to do more but without the right platform, those possibilities remain unseen.

At the Richard George Foundation, we are committed to creating spaces where learning meets opportunity, where skills meet real experience, and where young people are equipped not just to dream but to do.

This is how impact begins.

If you believe opportunities should be accessible to more young people, tag someone who needs to see this in the comments and check out more about us: richardgeorgefoundation.com

What does real impact look like?

At the Richard George Foundation, impact is hinged on our mission to raise African changemakers with the ability to thrive professionally, entrepreneurally, and drive sustainability.

Through our initiatives, we are not just building programmes, but we are creating pathways:

Pathways where women are empowered to build sustainable businesses.

Where young people gain real-world experience that prepares them for more.

Where communities begin to think and embrace sustainable green solutions.

This is what impact looks like for us, and we'd love for you to be a part of our impact story. Visit: richardgeorgefoundation.com to know more about us

Which of these initiatives speaks to you the most?

A Letter of Grief and Tribute

With a heart weighed down by sorrow and words shaped by tears, I write to mourn the passing of my beloved friend, classmate, brother, and an irreplaceable pillar in our shared journey — Engr Dr. S. K. Ilugbekhai.

This painful departure has left a silence that echoes deeply within my soul and across the lives of all who were privileged to know and walk alongside such an extraordinary individual.

Engr Dr. S. K. Ilugbekhai was far more than a companion in friendship or learning. There was a bond forged through shared classrooms, shared dreams, and shared struggles — a bond rooted in trust, respect, and brotherhood. Today, that bond grieves profoundly the absence of a voice filled with wisdom, counsel, and unwavering belief in others.

The role served as Chairman of the formal launching of the Richard George Foundation, held on 30th September 2023 at Wells Carlton Hotel, Abuja*, stands as a lasting testament to dedication, leadership, and vision. That moment, marked by grace and purpose, will forever remain etched in our collective memory — not only as a milestone for the Foundation, but as a reflection of the legacy now left behind.

Engr Dr. S. K. Ilugbekhai lived with intention, led with humility, and loved with sincerity. Kindness was offered quietly yet powerfully, and impact was made effortlessly and enduringly.

Though the earthly journey has ended, the values upheld, the lives touched, and the inspiration given continue to speak with clarity and strength.

The pain of this loss is immeasurable, yet comfort is found in gratitude — gratitude for the privilege of knowing, learning beside, and walking this path together.

Though no longer present in body, Engr Dr. S. K. Ilugbekhai remains forever alive in our hearts, memories, and in the work that will continue in honour of a life well lived.

May eternal rest be granted, dear friend and brother. The light given to this world has not gone out — it has simply moved beyond our reach.

With enduring love and remembrance,

Richard George
