In commemoration of International Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28, 2025, the Anneozeng Ogozi Aid Foundation team recently visited Victory of God School Waru, FCT Abuja, to raise awareness about menstrual health and hygiene among young girls.
‎
‎We discussed factual information, debunked myths, and addressed stigma surrounding menstruation. Our goal is to create a in line with this year's theme, where girls can confidently manage their periods with dignity.

‎To support this cause, we distributed sanitary products to the girls. Let's work together to end period stigma!

Breaking the Silence: Empowering Adolescents in Underserved Communities

Many girls in underserved communities lack access to essential information on health, rights, and life skills due to a lack of parent-child communication. This silence can lead to devastating consequences such as early pregnancy, unsafe abortion, low self-esteem, and vulnerability to violence.

Creating safe spaces where adolescents can access accurate information and support is crucial for their wellbeing and agency. Let's work together to break the culture of silence and empower our young people to make informed decisions about their lives.

Effecting Child Safeguarding with Compassion

A viral video in Nigeria sparked debate around child labor and family responsibilities. While the Child Rights Act protects children, enforcement must be balanced with compassion and understanding. Poverty and lack of support systems often force families into difficult situations.

Protecting children requires a holistic approach that includes poverty alleviation, access to quality education, and family strengthening initiatives. It's a shared responsibility among parents, communities, government, and advocates to create an environment where families are empowered, not punished, for their circumstances.
