AnNaHL was delighted to welcome members of Persatuan Keluarga Polis (PERKEP) Kelantan for an educational visit to understand more about the exceptional health benefits of kelulut honey. This visit highlighted the vital role of kelulut honey as an excellent natural supplement for children, given its rich content of bioactive compounds. Young minds can perform better at school due to a stronger immune system and improved cognitive function, allowing them to reach their full academic potential.

Recently, AnNaHL welcomed a group of enthusiastic medical students eager to know more about stingless bees. One core experience was tasting kelulut honey, where they were amazed by its distinctive sweet-and-sour taste. This unique taste results from natural fermentation occurring within the propolis pots, driven by beneficial bacteria. Additionally, they learned that the honey colour can vary depending on the nectar source, ranging from being dark to golden amber hues.

AnNaHL recently embraced a group of future doctors from the University of Manchester who were eager to learn about stingless bees. Having the opportunity to sample fresh honey straight from the farm as well as Kelulut Brainey, they were fascinated by its distinctive sweet-and-sour taste, resulting in them purchasing Kelulut Brainey as a souvenir for their families back in the UK. They also gained insights into the patented Mustafa Hive, which offers a sustainable and hygienic approach to kelulut honey harvesting.

Today AnNaHL welcomed a group of diligent MMed in Ophthalmology students of USM who were curious to learn more about stingless bee honey. One of the key takeaways from the visit was reflecting on why honey is not being used in hospitals despite being described as a healing remedy in Surah An-Nahl, of which Brainey is advocating for. Unlike honey produced by stinging bees, stingless bee honey contains the unique trehalulose sugar which has a low glycaemic index and does not cause significant blood sugar spikes.

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗞𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗚𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦 🎓

As part of the “Perkampungan Menara Gading” program organised by PKPIM held at USM Kubang Kerian, AnNaHL received visitors comprising SPM and STPM leavers. This program aims to provide exposure to university life, student development and academic pathways, which are vital in helping them brace for the transition into higher education.

Among the core insights gained were learning about the stingless bees’ propolis pots, the KEIFh system for ensuring authenticity, and much more. Unlike stinging bees, which store their honey in honeycombs, kelulut bees store theirs in propolis pots made out of resin. Within these pots, natural fermentation by beneficial bacteria eventually forms the unique kelulut honey, renowned for its distinctive sweet-sour taste. Furthermore, they were introduced to the importance of Brainey’s patented KEIFh System for determining honey authenticity, particularly through enzyme detection. Since enzymes originate from the bee’s digestive system, their absence may indicate that the honey could potentially be adulterated, as it did not truly pass through the bee’s stomach.

Recently, AnNaHL was visited by diligent USM students who were eager and curious to learn more about stingless bees, with many experiencing this for the very first time. One of the key takeaways was gaining insight into the phenomenal intellect of kelulut bees, particularly their ability to navigate and precisely locate their hive even from far distances, reflecting a GPS-like system.
