✨ Reliving the unforgettable memories of RYLA 2026, held from 22nd to 24th May at Casa Florida.

For the members of the Interact Club of Montebello, this was a first RYLA experience—one that will remain etched in our hearts for a long time. More than just an event, RYLA is an experience that must be lived. It is a journey of growth, friendship, learning, and self-discovery. 💯

Over three incredible days, we had the opportunity to connect with fellow Interactors, Rotaractors, and Rotarians from across District 9220, creating friendships and sharing moments that transcended club boundaries. 🤝 From inspiring sessions led by passionate speakers to meaningful discussions, every activity brought valuable lessons and new perspectives.

The team-building activities, moments of fellowship, laughter during free time, and the spirit of togetherness made this experience truly special. 🎉 Each moment reminded us of the power of leadership, collaboration, and service.

A heartfelt thank you to all the speakers for their inspiring contributions and to the Organising Committee for their dedication, hard work, and commitment in making RYLA 2026 such a memorable and impactful experience. 🙏

🌟 Youth in Action | Interact Club of Montebello 🌟

On Sunday 17th May, members of the Interact Club of Montebello came together under one roof for a meaningful and dynamic club meeting filled with enthusiasm, ideas, and fellowship.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress of our ongoing activities while continuing to strengthen the spirit of teamwork and leadership within the club.💪

A proud highlight of the day was the announcement of the Board Members for the mandate 2026–2027. 🎉 Congratulations to the incoming team who will continue to carry forward the vision, achievements, and vibrant energy of the club. Continuity, dedication, and youth leadership remain at the heart of our journey.

Another exciting milestone discussed was the participation of our members in RYLA 2026 for the very first time. 🚀 A special briefing session was held to prepare and guide participants so they can fully embrace this unique leadership experience, develop new skills, and create lifelong memories.🎯

Moments like these remind us that empowered youth are capable of creating impact, inspiring change, and shaping the future through service and leadership.💯

💛 Why wait for Mother’s Day or a special occasion to spend time with the elderly, when love, care, and companionship are needed every single day?

On Sunday 3rd May, the members of the Interact Club of Montebello spent a truly heartfelt afternoon with the elderly residents of St Hugh Anglican Home. From the very first moment, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, music, and genuine human connection. ✨

For many of our interactors, it was much more than a simple visit. It was a touching reminder of the realities of life and the importance of showing compassion, kindness, and affection to those who often long for love, attention, and someone to simply sit and listen to them. 🤍

One of the most emotional moments of the day was the celebration of the residents’ birthdays. As everyone gathered to sing “Happy Birthday,” smiles lit up the room and tears filled the eyes of one resident who was deeply touched by the gesture. In that moment, it was not about gifts or decorations, but about making someone feel remembered, valued, and loved. 🎂

The interactors truly went above and beyond to make the afternoon special. Together, they prepared music, songs, and even a beautiful poem dedicated to the residents — words filled with love, gratitude, and respect that deeply touched the hearts of everyone present. 🎶🕊️

The joyful atmosphere encouraged the residents to sing, dance, laugh, and relive beautiful memories. Watching the elderly men and women dance to the rhythm of the music was simply priceless. 💃

Snacks and tea were lovingly served by the young leaders, but beyond the refreshments, it was their sincere presence, patience, and affection that made the greatest difference. 🌸

🌹 In a simple yet powerful gesture of love and respect, each resident and caregiver was gifted a rose — a symbol of appreciation, warmth, and remembrance. That small flower carried a big message: *you are valued, you are seen, and you are loved.*

Every interactor left the home with a heart fuller than before — carrying unforgettable memories, valuable life lessons, and the realization that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can mean the world to someone.

Because at the end of the day, humanity is not measured by what we give, but by the love, dignity, and happiness we share with others. 🤍

✨ Stronger Together — Rain Couldn’t Stop Us

On 12th April 2026, something truly special happened at Sodnac Wellness Park… 😉

What could have been a day disrupted by heavy rain became one of our most powerful moments. As the rain poured, all our Interactors naturally gathered under one kiosk — closer, united, connected. And in that simple space, something beautiful came to life.

No complaints. No hesitation.
Just laughter, warmth, and genuine togetherness.🤝

That moment — all of us standing side by side — was the true highlight of the day. It reminded us that team spirit is not built in perfect conditions, but in how we come together when things don’t go as planned.

From the very first welcome, every member — new, prospective, and existing — felt that sense of belonging. The games, the shared tea and coffee, the creative challenges… everything became more meaningful because of that connection.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to President Parina for thoughtfully preparing the tea and coffee and ensuring every activity was ready despite the weather — your care made all the difference.

This was more than a team building.

Sunday 15th March marked a truly inspiring and impactful meeting of the Interact Club of Montebello, led with passion by President Parina.
The energy in the room spoke volumes — our young members were fully engaged, present, and eager to grow. It was not just a meeting, but a moment of connection, reflection, & motivation✨.

We were especially delighted to welcome Girisha, who has just completed her HSC and has been part of the club since its very beginning. Her sharing was nothing short of powerful. Through her journey, she reminded every Interactor of the true essence of Interact — a space where transformation happens. 🌱

From a shy individual to a confident young leader, Girisha’s story highlighted how Interact nurtures self-belief, builds public speaking skills, and empowers members to overcome their fears and challenges. Her words deeply resonated with everyone, sparking inspiration and renewed commitment among the members. 💬💡

What made this Sunday truly special was the level of engagement and authenticity in the room — young people learning from one another, growing together, and embracing every opportunity to become better versions of themselves. 🤝

Women’s Day with Purpose and Compassion 🌸

On Sunday 8th March 2026, the Interact Club of Montebello proudly joined hands with the Rotaract Club of Montebello to mark International Women’s Day through a meaningful visit to the Passerelle Shelter. 🤝

It was a truly special and emotional moment for our members to spend time with the brave women and children living at the shelter. We were honoured to welcome Mr Shanto from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Welfare, who addressed the residents with great empathy and respect.

What made this moment even more powerful was seeing a man speak openly about the challenges women face and acknowledge the suffering and difficult paths many of them have endured. Mr Shanto also shared valuable advice on what to do during difficult times, including important emergency contact numbers and support services, reminding the residents that they are not alone and that help is always within reach.

Listening to the stories shared by some of the residents was deeply touching. While a few courageously opened their hearts, others preferred not to revisit their past — a silence that spoke just as strongly. For our Interactors and Rotaractors, it was truly an eye-opening moment, helping us better understand the realities faced by so many around us.
After this heartfelt exchange, we were happy to spend a warm moment together by offering a small token of appreciation to the ladies and children on behalf of the Rotaractors and Interactors of Montebello. 🎁

The Interact Club of Montebello extends its sincere gratitude to Mr Shanto for his time, his compassionate words, and the guidance he shared with the residents. We also warmly thank Rotaractor Neha for making this meaningful session possible and bringing us together as young people united in service and empathy. 🌼

Moments like these remind us that true service begins with listening, understanding, and standing together for a more compassionate society.
