After an unforgettable summer of adventures — from walking the Camino de Santiago 🥾🇪🇸 to our AMIGOS missionary experience in Kenya 🇰🇪❤️ — it was time to get everyone back together for a BBQ! 🌭🔥

A night full of laughs, stories, memories and plenty of “remember when…?” moments! 😂

Two completely different experiences, but both gave us so much: new friendships, challenges, unforgettable moments and memories that will stay with us for a long time. 💛

The trips might be over, but the friendships, the memories and the spirit definitely aren’t! 🙌🔥

Our missionary experience in Kenya 🇰🇪 was much more than the work we accomplished — it was about encounter, service, sharing and allowing ourselves to be changed by the people we met. ❤️

Terence, esperjenzi bħal dawn huma wkoll xhieda tas-sbuħija tal-vokazzjoni Agostinjana: ħajja mibnija fuq il-komunità milqugħin mill-aħwa Agostinjani li jaħdmu f’dan il-pajjiż, is-servizz u t-tfittxija ta’ Alla permezz tal-imħabba lejn il-proxxmu. Esperjenzi missjunarji bħal dawn joffru liż-żgħażagħ opportunità mhux biss biex jgħinu lil min hu fil-bżonn, iżda wkoll biex jirriflettu fuq is-sejħa tagħhom u jiskopru l-ferħ li jiġi biss meta wieħed jiddedika ħajtu għall-oħrajn..."

As we reached the final week of our missionary experience in Kenya, our journey took us between Eldoret and Nairobi. We had the opportunity to visit the new community in Kapkagaon, where we helped prepare the surrounding area by building a fence and planting trees as a sign of hope and prosperity for the future. We also continued our work in Eldoret by painting another wall in one of the local schools.

Back in Nairobi, as we prepared for our journey back to Malta, we distributed food to poor families in Babadogo, sharing with them not only material support but also moments of fraternity and joy.

Now we are on our way back to Malta, carrying in our hearts the memories, lessons and encounters that have marked this missionary experience. The mission does not end here: we return home ready to continue living what we have experienced in Kenya.

Thank you to everyone who supported us through your prayers, donations and encouragement throughout this journey.

As we draw near to the conclusion of our missionary experience in Kenya, we would like to share with you a special message of gratitude from the parish priest of Ishiara, Fr Stan OSA, to all those who supported us through their generous donations.

Your kindness has enabled us to serve poor families, support schools, and bring hope to many people. Thank you for accompanying us on this mission through your prayers and generosity. 🇰🇪❤️

It’s already our third week of our missionary experience in Kenya!
This week, the AMIGOS team has been serving in Kisumu, where we took part in various maintenance projects at our college. We also had the opportunity to meet the students, share precious moments with them, and provide them with lunch.
Wanting to leave behind something beautiful and meaningful, we painted the outer walls of the classrooms with alphabets, numbers, and shapes, hoping that these colourful creations will continue to inspire and accompany the children in their learning journey for years to come.

We also looked to the future by planting trees around the school, a small gesture that we hope will bear fruit for the generations to come.

None of this would have been possible without your generosity. Thank you for your donations, your prayers, and your continued support. Every contribution is helping us bring hope, joy, and practical assistance to the communities we encounter.
A special word of thanks also goes to the Augustinian friars in Kenya, whose warm hospitality, dedication, and constant support have made us feel truly at home while accompanying us throughout this mission. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the family who generously welcomed part of our group into their home due to the lack of space in the community. Their kindness, hospitality, and care made us feel like part of their family, and we will always be grateful for their generosity.

Please continue to keep us, and the people of Kenya, in your prayers as we continue this beautiful journey of service. 🇰🇪❤️
