Nitolbu biex il-Mulej ikompli jmexxihom, jipproteġihom u jħejjihom għal dak kollu li se jesperjenzaw u jaqsmu ma’ dawk li se jiltaqgħu magħhom. Żommuhom fit-talb tagħkom.

🌍🇰🇪 Preparing our hearts for mission!

This weekend, the young people who will be taking part in the Augustinian missionary experience in Kenya this coming July gathered for a Live-In as part of their preparation journey.

Through moments of prayer, reflection, community life, sharing, and formation, they had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of what it means to be missionaries: to encounter Christ in others, to serve with humility, and to be open to the transformative experience that awaits them.

A special moment during the Live-In was the presence of Fr Geoffrey, an Augustinian friar from Kenya currently living in Malta, who shared valuable insights about the reality of life and mission in Kenya. His reflections helped the participants gain a deeper appreciation of the people, culture, and communities they will soon encounter.

We are also grateful to the members of the Secretariat for Augustinian Missions who joined us during the weekend and enriched the experience through their encouragement, witness, and commitment to the missionary spirit of the Church and the Augustinian family.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the Augustinian Community in Pietà for their generous hospitality and for making their convent available for this Live-In. Their support and welcome provided the ideal environment for prayer, formation, fraternity, and preparation for this upcoming mission.

As we continue our preparations, we entrust this missionary experience to the Lord, asking Him to bless the communities we will visit, the people we will meet, and all those involved in making this journey possible.

Please keep our missionary group in your prayers as we prepare to embark on this unique experience of faith, service, and encounter.

Matul ix-xahar ta’ Lulju, sitt żgħażagħ flimkien ma’ Fr Mario u Fr Terence ser jitilqu minn Malta lejn il-Kenja sabiex iwettqu esperjenza missjunarja mal-Patrijiet Agostinjani li jaħdmu hemmhekk. Din l-esperjenza ser tkun opportunità ta’ servizz, laqgħa u solidarjetà ma’ komunitajiet fil-bżonn.

Tul dawn l-aħħar xhur, il-grupp ħa sehem f’diversi attivitajiet ta’ formazzjoni u fundraising bi preparazzjoni għal din il-missjoni. Fost l-attivitajiet organizzati kien hemm bejgħ ta’ Mince Pies u Kwareżimal, magħmulin miż-żgħażagħ infushom bl-għajnuna ta’ membri oħra mill-gruppi taż-żgħażagħ tal-provinċja. Ġew organizzati wkoll hike flimkien mal-grupp li ser jagħmel l-esperjenza tal-Camino dan is-sajf, bejgħ ta’ Christmas Logs u Figolli, kif ukoll Pasta Night imħejjija mill-grupp Amigos. Attivitajiet oħrajn jinkludu bejgħ ta’ pjanti fil-Kulleġġ Santu Wistin flimkien mal-inizjattiva ta’ Platt Ross mal-istudenti.

L-aħħar fażi ta’ preparazzjoni ser tinkludi live-in għall-grupp fil-bidu ta’ Ġunju, u ftit wara Send-Off Mass li ser issir fit-28 ta’ Ġunju.

Nawguraw lil dawn iż-żgħażagħ kull ġid għal din l-esperjenza missjunarja u nitolbu sabiex il-Mulej imexxihom u jsaħħaħhom f’din l-għażla sabiħa ta’ servizz lejn il-foqra u dawk fil-bżonn.

During the month of July, six young people together with Fr Mario and Fr Terence will leave Malta for Kenya to take part in a missionary experience with the Augustinian Friars serving there. This experience will be an opportunity for service, encounter, and solidarity with communities in need. Ov

What a beautiful evening at our Pasta Night! 🍝✨
Last night we gathered together for an evening filled with delicious food, laughter, music, and a wonderful sense of community. From the different pasta dishes prepared with care, to the drinks, desserts, raffle, and moments shared around the table, every detail helped create a warm and joyful atmosphere.

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported this fundraising event. Thank you to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly before, during, and after the event, to those who cooked and prepared the food, those who served, organised, decorated, sold raffle tickets, and helped behind the scenes in so many ways.

A special thank you also goes to our sponsors and all those who donated food, supplies, gifts, and prizes. Your generosity and support made this evening possible.

Most of all, thank you for being part of this initiative and for supporting our mission project this summer in Kenya. Your presence and encouragement mean so much to us.

The Ordinary Provincial Chapter will conclude on Friday, 17th April with a Thanksgiving Mass, presided over by the Vicar General, Fr Alexander Lam, at our church in Valletta at 7:15 p.m.

Different paths, one shared purpose. 🌍👣

This special walk brought together a beautiful mix of people — Amigos, Augustinian youths, St Augustine College staff, Camino groups, and friends — each with their own story, yet united by a single mission.

Step by step, we walked not only side by side, but with a shared heart: to support our upcoming missionary experience in Kenya. Every conversation, every smile, every mile covered became part of something greater than ourselves.
