Mahita - Paediatric Ophthalmology & Training Project MAHITA Ophthalmology Paediatric and Training Project aim to improve Eye Care services in Madagascar

In conformity with CBM Madagascar Country Plan and the National Policy for the Prevention of Blindness, MAHITA Ophthalmology Paediatric and Training Project was developed in 2017 january to feature a training components for eye health professionals and an ophthalmology paediatric component at CHU/HJRA. INSPC, the only one national public Institution in charge of the community health of professiona

ls training in Madagascar since 1994 is the main partner for the project. The Paediatric ophthalmology Service at CHU HJRA, the unique public institution providing eye health care to children in Madagascar is the subsidiary partner. Thanks to the expertise gained by the INSPC/MAHITA PROJECT team, they are expected to transfer competences on project management until the ophthalmology Service, CHU HJRA will be strong enough to manage the paediatric component part of the project.
