The educational system in Liberia is quickly becoming a pressing concern for FACE, largely due to the consistently poor performance and lack of practical skills seen among high school and university graduates. If we are genuinely committed to securing Liberia’s future, we must shift our focus toward actively developing young people’s real-world skills—such as critical thinking, problem-solving, technical abilities, and creativity—rather than continuing to produce more “paper pushers” and degree holders who lack hands-on competence. It’s time to prioritize quality, relevance, and skill-based learning over mere credentials.
