GOOD FRIDAY MESSAGE.

Today, we pause to remember the greatest act of love ever shown to humanity.

As it is written in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” a sacrifice fulfilled on this day through the suffering and crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Good Friday reminds us that “by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5), and that even in the darkest moment on the cross, God’s purpose was unfolding for our redemption.

As an organization, we are inspired by this divine example of sacrifice, humility, and unconditional love. Let us walk in the light of Ephesians 4:32 , “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

May this sacred day renew our faith, deepen our compassion, and remind us that no matter how heavy the cross, resurrection and victory are coming.

The report from Verity News Online, revealing that 13 students are already pregnant this academic year and 15 cases were recorded last year at Toe Memorial Secondary School, in Grand Gedeh County, highlights the growing challenge of teenage pregnancy that we continue to face in Liberia.

This situation goes beyond the classroom, it reflects gaps in guidance, communication, and access to accurate information. Teenage pregnancy affects education, emotional well-being, and the long-term future of young girls, while also placing responsibility on families, schools, and the wider community.
There is a need for honest conversations at home, where young people feel safe to ask questions and receive the right guidance. Schools must continue to strengthen counseling and provide clear, age-appropriate reproductive health education. Communities must also work to dispel harmful myths and create supportive environments for young people.

For those already affected, this is not the end of the road. With the right support, education, and encouragement, every young girl still has the opportunity to rebuild, grow, and succeed. Addressing teenage pregnancy requires shared responsibility. Through awareness, education, and collective action, we can better protect the future of our young people and create a more informed and supportive society.

Introducing Leymah Gbowee, a Liberian peace activist and women’s rights leader who helped end the civil war by uniting Christian and Muslim women in a powerful, nonviolent movement for peace. Through her courage and leadership, she showed the world the strength of women working together, and in 2011, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts. Her journey reminds us that no matter the challenges, empowered women can transform lives, communities, and even nations. We believe every woman carries that same strength, and by supporting and uplifting one another, we can build a future where everyone has the chance to rise and succeed.
