As part of the “Strengthening Civil Society Organizations Working for the Inclusion of Vulnerable and Marginalized Youth” project, The APJHR facilitated Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) using Gender and Diversity Inclusion (GDI) approaches to ensure the meaningful participation of women, men, and marginalized groups.

These discussions generated valuable community insights that will help shape more inclusive and responsive youth-focused interventions and strengthen community participation.

The Alliance for Peace, Justice and Human Rights (APJHR), in partnership with SOS Children's Villages Liberia and with funding support from the European Union in Liberia through SOS, has officially launched the project: “Strengthening Civil Society Organizations Working for the Inclusion of Vulnerable and Marginalized Youth” in Margibi County, Liberia.

As part of the project rollout, APJHR conducted field visits and community outreach activities across Margibi County to engage youth-led organizations, civil society organizations (CSOs), and grassroots community groups.

The engagement created valuable opportunities for dialogue, participation, and stronger collaboration with local stakeholders aimed at promoting youth inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable community development in Liberia.

PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Alliance for Peace Justice and Human Rights (APJHR) is pleased to officially announce the signing of a partnership agreement with Kvinna till Kvinna (KTK) on May 15, 2026, for the implementation of the “PeaceGen Liberia: The Generation for Peace (European Union NextGen Initiative)” project.

Supported by the European Union in Liberia through Kvinna till Kivinna the project Lead, this important initiative will be implemented from January 2026 through January 2029 and is aimed at strengthening peacebuilding efforts, promoting youth engagement, advancing justice, and protecting human rights across Liberia.

Through this partnership, APJHR and KTK will work collaboratively to empower communities, foster inclusive participation, and create opportunities for young people and local stakeholders to actively contribute to sustainable peace and social cohesion.

The “PeaceGen Liberia” project reflects a shared commitment to building a peaceful, just, and inclusive society where the voices of youth, women, and vulnerable communities are recognized and strengthened.

APJHR remains dedicated to advancing sustainable peace, promoting human rights, and supporting initiatives that contribute to national development and community resilience throughout Liberia.
