Today, August 18, 2026 makes it 23 years since the Accra Peace Accord was signed.

The President of the Liberia National Muslim Youth Assembly (LINMYA), Abrahim K. Zoekai joined several Youth and Students Leaders, civil society organizations, International Organizations and the joint Securities in commemoration of the signing of the historic Accra Peace Accord in Monrovia.

President Zoekai also joined other youth Leaders, Civil Society organizations, the joint Securities, representatives of the United Nations, ECOWAS among others in signing a symbolic Statement of Commitment to Peace and Security in Liberia.
Peace is not something we should take for granted, we must therefore protect it in at all costs.

Thanks to the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY) for organizing this historic event with support from the Ministry of Justice.

Liberia is set to host the West Africa Muslim Youth Conference - 2026

The West Africa Muslim Youth Conference seeks to bring together young muslim leaders, scholars, entrepreneurs, development practitioners, policy makers and civil society organizations from across the ECOWAS region to exchange ideas, build network, and develop practical solutions to shared challenges.

Liberia renowned for its religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christinas , provides an ideal setting for this important regional gathering.

On Friday, the President of the Liberia National Muslim Youth Assembly (LINMYA), Abrahim K. Zoekai led a delegation to the inauguration ceremony of the newly inducted leadership of the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY), headed by H.E President Earnest Duku Jallah.

President Jallah ascend in office at a time the Youth of Liberia are faced with too many challenges and are desperately yearning for systemic change and a leader that will vibrate the system, shake its pillars and demand that much needed change. A leader that is capable and willing to defy the odds, change the narrative and create opportunities for our generation.
Unarguably, President Earnest Duku Jallah is that leader.
Over the years, he has been involved and have proven to be a transformative and results oriented leader.

The Leadership of LINMYA hereby congratulates the newly inducted leadership of FLY and express its support and readiness to work with President Jallah and his leadership to move the youthful community of our country forward.

PUBLIC NOTICE!

The board of the Liberia National Muslim Youth Assembly (LINMYA) wishes to inform its Members, Stakeholders and the General Public of the following:

That the below listed individuals are undergoing suspension.

1. Chernor Barry
2. Zainab Bah
3. Abou Sheriff
4. Aminata Donzo

Following their suspension in accordance with the constitution of LINMYA for conduct deemed prejudicial to the interest of the organization and for bringing the institution into public disrepute, the individuals concerned have unfortunately continued to engage in actions that violate the governing principles of the Assembly.

Their conduct has further escalated and may warrant additional disciplinary and legal action.

The Board has observed the following:

* Bringing the name and reputation of LINMYA into public disrepute
* Impersonating officials and representatives of the organization
* Disseminating false and misleading information
* Engaging in character assassination against members and leaders of the Assembly
* Undertaking unauthorized activities and communications in the name of LINMYA
* Creating confusion among members and the general public regarding the legitimate leadership of the organization

ACCORDINGLY, THE BOARD HEREBY RESOLVES AND DECLARED THAT:

1. LINMYA completely dissociate itself from the actions, statements, publications, and representations made by the Suspended Individuals.
2. Members of the public are advised not to engage in any business, communication, or transaction conducted by these individuals in the name of LINMYA.
3. Any statement, publication, announcement, or communication issued by them on behalf of LINMYA should be disregard, as they remain under suspension and are not authorized to represent the organization in any capacity.
4. Mr. Abrahim K Zoekai remains the duly recognized and legitimate President of LINMYA

DIRECTIVES TO MR. CHERNOR BARRY

The Board further direct Mr. Chernor Barry to :
1. Immediately seize all actions intended to undermine the reputation of the President of LINMYA and the image of the institution.
2. Remove and retract all misleading publications and statements made in the name of LINMYA or directed against its President.
3. Immediately deactivate and remove any unauthorized social media accounts or page created in the name of LINMYA and used to disseminate false or misleading information.
4. Comply with these directives within 48 hours of the issuance of this notice.

NOTICE OF FURTHER ACTION

Failure to comply with the above directives will compel the Board to pursue all disciplinary, administrative and legal measures necessary to safeguard the integrity, reputation, and interest of LINMYA.

The Board remains committed to ensuring that LINMYA continues to uphold its constitutional principles and pursue the noble objectives for which the organization was established.

May Allah continue to bless LINMYA and the Republic of Liberia, ameen.
