At The Mother of Light “Oum El Nour” in Liberia, every month tells a story of hope, recovery, and shared impact.

In our March 2026 Newsletter, we highlight meaningful moments that moved our mission forward—from support for the renovation of our carpentry workshop, to helping facilitate national training to strengthen substance use disorder care in Liberia, to prevention outreach in Buchanan City that opened referral pathways and challenged myths around addiction.

This month also reminds us that every act of support matters. From food donations to renovation work, your generosity helps create healing, dignity, and new opportunities for vulnerable youth.

Women in Liberia are facing deep and painful realities linked to drug use, trauma, exploitation, and violence. Many are drawn into substance use through abuse, survival struggles, or harmful networks, then left to suffer in silence because of stigma, fear, and the lack of safe services designed for women. 💔🇱🇷

Behind every woman affected is a life that still matters, a story that deserves compassion, and a future that can still be rebuilt. A dedicated female wing at the Mother of Light Drug Rehab Centre would offer more than treatment — it would offer safety, dignity, understanding, and a real chance to heal. 🌿🤍

Through trauma-informed care, maternal and mental health support, protection services, life-skills training, and reintegration support, women can find the strength to recover and begin again. ✨🕊️

Today, we urgently call on the Government of Liberia, diplomatic missions, international donors, NGOs, private sector partners, and all people of goodwill to stand with these vulnerable women. Your support can help create a safe place where broken lives are restored, hope is renewed, and women are given the opportunity to reclaim their future. 🤝🏽🌍

Recovery is strongest when a whole community chooses to stand with it. 💛

This month at Mother of Light – Oum El Nour Liberia, every act of support became something real for our youth: a meal, a skill-building moment, a stable routine, or a follow-up check-in after discharge.

And we didn’t stop there—we strengthened coordination so that youth don’t “finish treatment and disappear,” but continue with guidance, structure, and opportunities that protect recovery and build a stable future.

To every partner, supporter, and friend: you are helping young people believe again—“I am not alone, and my future is worth it.”
