International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics The International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG) is an international network of professioals in the field of ageing.

The International Association of Gerontological Societies was founded in July 1950, registered in Liège, Belgium, as an association of organizations involved in gerontology research and training. It was later renamed the International Association of Gerontology, and then the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG). As of 2013 there were 83 IAGG member societies in 70 countri

es. The combined membership of the member organizations was over 48,972 professionals. It is a United Nations category III non-governmental organization, and has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The IAGG holds the World Congress every four years.
