(1)

'I Have A Heart' (iHAH) is heart a foundation founded by Abi-Gaye Smythe, a cardiac patient, who was at risk of sudden death and struggled in more ways than one before and after undergoing two surgeries in 2012. Since then she has had the drive, aim and determination to help other persons across Jamaica like herself living with heart conditions/disease; even more so because she lost her mother to a

heart condition. Though depending on a battery operated device to keep her heart functioning properly,Abi-Gaye while she still has her heart,is now aiming to make a difference by helping to save another.

Jamaica is getting a new nurse, and it’s all because of our mission 🙌🏾. While recovering from heart surgery, Tajera found her calling.

Our mission doesn’t just heal hearts, it shapes futures 💪🏾

🤍 To date we have assisted 60 people with free heart surgery through our One Heart, One Love Mission.

📌 Through our joint mission with the University Hospital of the West Indies Cardiac Unit, a team from the Montefiore Hospital in New York, and the Organization for International Development, we undertake a yearly cardiac mission to assist financially challenged heart disease patients with heart surgeries. Without these surgeries, patients are at risk of heart deterioration, heart failure, and even death.

This mission was founded to bridge that gap.
