This International Day of Play, we celebrate the power of play to help children learn, grow, build confidence, and develop the teamwork and resilience that will serve them throughout their lives.

Whether on a football field, a playground, or in their communities, every child deserves the opportunity to play, explore and thrive.

In Joan Duncan’s legacy, love was a leadership principle, a business philosophy, and a daily choice.

For Joan, love meant honest conversations, accountability and believing in people even when they lost their way. Above all, it meant choosing to build family, company and community with people at the centre.

At the 13th Annual Joan Duncan Memorial Lecture, “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”, her children reflected on the values she lived at home and carried into business.

From supporting environmental education programmes to participating in initiatives that help protect Jamaica’s coastlines and natural spaces, we believe that caring for our environment is a shared responsibility.

Every tree planted, every piece of litter collected, and every young person inspired to become a steward of the planet helps create a greener, healthier future for us all.

Good work deserves to be celebrated! 🍕🎉

Recently, we spent some time with the Grade Seven Academy of Holy Trinity High School, treating them to a pizza party in recognition of their improved performance in Mathematics and English Language.

Their progress is a reminder that when students are supported, encouraged, and given the right opportunities to learn, great things can happen. While the pizza was a fun reward, the real achievement is the hard work, dedication, and growth these students have demonstrated throughout the school year.

Congratulations to all the students who continue to challenge themselves, strive for excellence, and prove that success is built one step at a time. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to seeing what you accomplish next.

This Labour Day, we showed up for Maryland, Hanover in service, partnership and community spirit.

As part of the JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation’s Community Restart Project, these homes were built to support families in Maryland, Hanover whose lives and living conditions were deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa. The project forms part of a wider recovery effort to help impacted households regain a sense of safety, stability and dignity after the storm.

Volunteers from JMMB and the Foundation joined together to paint these homes, adding care, colour and a finishing touch to spaces created to help families move forward with dignity and hope. 🏡✨
