Les Petites Lumières: a Venezia cresce una comunità che porta la filosofia ai bambini !

Siamo felici di condividere l’avvio dei weekend di formazione con .pastorini.philoenfants, fondatrice del metodo Les Petites Lumières, organizzati da SUMus e la Fondazione di Venezia.

Il primo weekend si è appena concluso con grande entusiasmo, coinvolgendo 30 partecipanti tra insegnanti e persone interessate a portare questa esperienza educativa nelle scuole e nella comunità.

Ma che cosa significa diventare facilitatori di Les Petites Lumières?

Significa imparare a creare spazi in cui bambine e bambini possano interrogarsi sul mondo, esprimere liberamente il proprio pensiero, ascoltare gli altri e sviluppare curiosità, creatività e capacità di ragionamento. Attraverso il dialogo filosofico e le pratiche artistiche, il metodo mette in relazione pensiero, corpo ed esperienza, trasformando le domande in occasioni di scoperta condivisa.

La formazione degli adulti è un passaggio fondamentale: stiamo costruendo una comunità di facilitatrici e facilitatori a Venezia, pronta a portare il metodo nelle scuole e a farlo crescere nel territorio. Il percorso proseguirà anche a novembre e dicembre, coinvolgendo una rete di insegnanti e puntando a raggiungere un numero sempre maggiore di scuole.

Il nostro obiettivo è ambizioso: offrire a sempre più bambine e bambini l’opportunità di sviluppare pensiero critico, consapevolezza e capacità di dialogo, contribuendo a costruire un futuro più umano, partecipativo e rigenerativo.

Perché educare non significa soltanto trasmettere conoscenze, ma anche imparare a porsi domande, ascoltare punti di vista diversi e pensare insieme.

Grazie a Chiara Pastorini, alla Fondazione di Venezia e a tutte le persone che hanno scelto di intraprendere questo percorso con noi. 💛

Il futuro si costruisce anche attraverso le domande che impariamo a porci da bambini.

Meet Ines Testoni, speaker at our session “Towards a Global Awakening of Consciousness” on Thursday, 19 November.

A Full Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Padua, Ines directs the Master’s programmes in Death Studies & The End of Life and Creative Arts Therapies for Resilience Support.

President of the Association for Studies on Spirituality, Eternity and Death (ASSEM), she is internationally recognised for her research on death, consciousness and spirituality. With over 200 scientific articles and approximately twenty books, she invites us to rethink our relationship with mortality and explore how a deeper understanding of life and death can transform human consciousness.

We are delighted to welcome Ines to the Forum for this thought-provoking conversation on the possibility of a global awakening.

Meet Valentina Dorigo Valentina Dorigo, speaker at our first panel on 19 November: “What if Death Does Not Exist? Journeys Through Consciousness.”

A nursing professional and Nursing Coordinator in an Oncology Department, Valentina is also a certified BLS-D and PBLS-D instructor, a thanatologist and a facilitator supporting people who have experienced near-death experiences (NDEs).

In 2002, Valentina herself had a near-death experience following a cardiac arrest witnessed in the operating room. This profound experience became a turning point in her life and led her to explore consciousness, death and the transformative potential of NDEs.

Since then, she has shared her experience in television interviews and has dedicated herself to welcoming and listening to other people’s “Stories of Light”, helping them process their experiences, integrate their insights and reshape their lives.

Since January 2025, she has been a facilitator, together with Dani Foffa, for the IANDS Italia support group for people who have experienced NDEs. She also runs the YouTube channel Valentina Dorigo – Le Cose del Cielo, dedicated to NDEs, Death Education and related topics.

With a background in Narrative Medicine, creative writing and dramaturgy for therapeutic purposes, Valentina brings together her medical experience, her personal journey and her deep interest in the human experience of death and consciousness.

Her lifelong dream is to help dissolve the fear of death through the stories of those who have come close to it — believing that these “Stories of Light” can be cathartic not only for those who share them, but also for those who listen.

We are delighted to welcome Valentina to the Forum and to have her bring her unique perspective and personal experience to this important conversation.

Meet Laurence De La Baume, speaker at our first panel on 19 November: “What if Death Does Not Exist? Journeys Through Consciousness.”

Author, journalist and lecturer, Laurence de La Baume has spent much of her career exploring the fascinating boundaries between science, consciousness and ancestral wisdom.

Laurence has experienced an out-of-body experience that profoundly transformed her life. She will share her personal testimony of this extraordinary experience during the Forum.

Since this life-changing event, she has been driven to meet scientists, researchers and pioneers in the field, seeking to understand what happened to her and to explore the connections between consciousness, science and human experience.

She is the author of Va par où tu ne sais pas (Go Where You Do Not Know), winner of the 2019 ALEF Prize and the French Independent Booksellers’ Prize, and La contagion du cœur (The Contagion of the Heart).

We are delighted to welcome Laurence to the Forum, where she will share her experience and the journey of exploration that began with it.

Meet Dani Foffa, moderator of our first panel on 19 November “what if Death does not exist ? Journeys Through Consciousness.

Teacher, researcher and specialist in Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), Dani teaches NDEs within the Master’s programme in Death Studies at the University of Padua.

He is also the Italian Team Leader of IANDS, a member of its Board of Directors and the organisation’s official podcaster, having interviewed more than 100 people with NDE experiences, as well as leading researchers in the field.

We are delighted to have Dani guide the conversation and bring his expertise to the Forum.

Massimo Redaelli is joined once again by Kim Polman, author and cofounder of Reboot the Future, sustainability expert Xenia zu Hohenlohe, and Helene Molinari, founder of Sumus, for the second and final part of episode four.

The discussion moves from leadership into a broader institutional challenge. Many organizations publicly commit to long-term goals while continuing to operate through structures that reward immediate performance.

Polman approaches that tension through leadership. Xenia zu Hohenlohe through environmental sustainability. Molinari through organizational evolution. Different fields, but a shared concern: how institutions maintain direction when priorities compete, conditions change and today’s decisions shape outcomes that may not become visible for years.

As the conversation comes to a close, leadership, sustainability and organizational change no longer appear as separate disciplines. They become different ways of addressing the same hashtag .
