Every time we make the Sign of the Cross, we proclaim our belief in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
It is one of the simplest and most powerful prayers in the Church.
🙏 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

SAINT OF THE DAY: ST. PADRE PIO ✝️
St. Padre Pio was a humble priest who dedicated his life to prayer, sacrifice, and bringing souls closer to God.
Despite suffering greatly, he never lost his trust in the Lord. His simple advice to the world was:
🙏 "Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry."
Padre Pio knew that when we place our lives in God's hands, fear loses its power and faith begins to grow.
Today, whatever burden you are carrying, bring it to Jesus in prayer.
St. Padre Pio, pray for us. 🤍
Type AMEN if you trust God with your worries

31ST DAY OF MAY DEVOTION TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our loving Mother,
As we come to the final day of this month dedicated to you, we thank you for your loving presence, your powerful intercession, and your constant guidance throughout our journey.
Mother Mary, thank you for always leading us closer to Jesus. Teach us to imitate your faith, your humility, and your complete trust in God's will.

As this month ends, do not cease to watch over us. Keep our families under your mantle of protection, strengthen us in times of trial, and help us remain faithful to Christ every day of our lives.
May your Immaculate Heart be our refuge, our comfort, and our guide on the path to holiness.

Blessed Mother, obtain for us the grace to love God above all things and to serve Him with joyful hearts.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now and always.
Amen. 🤍🌹

✝️ Why is Mary often dressed in blue?
1. Blue symbolizes Heaven and purity
In Christian symbolism, blue represents:
Purity
Faithfulness
Truth
Heaven
Because Mary is honored as the pure Mother of God, artists used blue to express her holiness and her unique role in salvation history.

2. Blue was once the most expensive color
In the Middle Ages, blue pigment made from lapis lazuli was extremely rare and costly.
Artists reserved it for the most important figures in religious paintings. Mary was often portrayed in blue to honor her dignity as the Mother of Jesus.

3. Mary's role points us toward Heaven
Catholic tradition sees Mary as the model disciple who leads believers to Christ. The heavenly blue mantle symbolizes her closeness to God and her maternal care for the Church.

📖 Is there a biblical basis?
The Bible does not say, "Mary wore blue."
However, blue has biblical significance.
In the Old Testament, God instructed the Israelites to use blue in sacred garments and worship:

📖 Numbers 15:38-39
"Tell the Israelites to make tassels on the corners of their garments... with a blue cord on each tassel."
📖 Exodus 28:31
"You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue."
Blue was associated with holiness, obedience, and things dedicated to God.
While these passages do not refer directly to Mary, Christians later adopted this symbolism when depicting her in sacred art.

🕊️ Catholic Teaching
The Catholic Church does not teach that Mary always wore blue in her earthly life.
Rather, blue is a symbolic color used in Christian art to express:
Her purity
Her faithfulness to God
Her queenship in Heaven
Her role as Mother of the Church

So when Catholics see Mary clothed in blue, they are seeing a theological symbol, not a historical claim about her wardrobe.

In short: Mary wears blue in Catholic art because blue symbolizes purity, holiness, and heaven. It comes from Christian tradition and biblical symbolism, not from a specific verse stating what color she wore. ✝️
