Ogni 23 maggio, la città rende omaggio a Giovanni Falcone e Paolo Borsellino, due magistrati che hanno dedicato la loro vita alla giustizia e alla lotta contro la mafia, attraverso le sue strade, i memoriali e i simboli della cultura antimafia. Dall’Albero Falcone 🌿 al No Mafia Memorial, ogni luogo ci ricorda che la legalità vive nelle scelte quotidiane.

Perché ricordare non basta.

Oggi è il 9 maggio. La Festa dell’Europa non è solo una data sul calendario.
È la Dichiarazione Schuman del 1950: poche righe che hanno cambiato il modo in cui un continente ha scelto di stare insieme. Settantasei anni dopo, quella scelta la viviamo ogni giorno: nelle aule universitarie di un altro paese, nei coinquilini che diventano amici, nelle conversazioni in tre lingue diverse attorno a un tavolo.
L’Erasmus Generation non è una generazione anagrafica. È chi ha scelto di attraversare un confine per capire cosa c’è dall’altra parte, e si è scoperto più europeo di quanto pensasse.
ESN Palermo lavora ogni giorno perché quella scelta sia accessibile, supportata e significativa. Buona Festa dell’Europa. 🇪🇺

Today is May 9th. Europe Day is more than a date.
It’s the Schuman Declaration of 1950: a few lines that changed the way a continent chose to stand together. Seventy-six years later, that choice is something we live every day: in university classrooms abroad, in flatmates who become friends, in conversations held in three languages around the same table.
The Erasmus Generation isn’t defined by age. It’s defined by the choice to cross a border and discover something unexpected, including yourself.

Eating disorders are often misunderstood. They are not just about food, weight, or appearance — they are deeply connected to our mental health, our emotions, and the way we see ourselves.

Behind every struggle there is a person who might be fighting silently: someone who feels pressure to be perfect, someone who feels “not enough”, someone who is trying to cope with emotions that feel too heavy to carry alone.

Talking about eating disorders means creating a space where people feel safe to open up, to ask for help, and to feel understood without judgment.

Our generation talks more about mental health than ever before — and that’s powerful. The more we normalize these conversations, the more we break stigma and remind people that their struggles are valid and that support exists.

You are not weak for struggling.
You are human. And you deserve care, understanding, and compassion. 💜

March 15 is the National Day dedicated to raising awareness about eating disorders. But this day is not just about statistics or information — it’s about people.

It’s about friends who might be struggling silently, classmates who feel pressure to look a certain way, and anyone who has ever felt like their body wasn’t “good enough.”

Today is a reminder to slow down and reflect on how we talk about bodies, food, and ourselves. Words matter. The way we support each other matters even more.

Awareness starts with small actions: sharing information, checking in on a friend, being more kind with ourselves, and creating spaces where vulnerability is welcomed instead of judged.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can say to someone is simply: “You’re not alone.”

Let’s use today to spread awareness, empathy, and understanding. 💜

Recognizing the signs of eating disorders can make a huge difference. Sometimes the signals are visible, but often they’re hidden behind silence, perfectionism, or the pressure to always seem “fine.”

That’s why awareness matters — because understanding helps us support others and also check in with ourselves.

But awareness also means something deeper: learning to build a healthier relationship with our bodies and our minds.

Self-love isn’t about loving yourself perfectly every day. It’s about choosing compassion instead of criticism. It’s about learning that your worth has nothing to do with numbers, appearances, or unrealistic standards.

Your body is not the enemy.
Your mind deserves care.
And you deserve a life where food, health, and self-image are not a battle.

Healing, growth, and self-acceptance take time — but they are possible. Always. 💜
