The concluding day of The Equestrian Forum served as a powerful intersection of practical skill and long-term industry strategy. The schedule balanced rigorous field demonstrations in physiotherapy and farriery with a comprehensive deep-dive into the foundational pillars of the sport. This hands-on approach provided a foundation for the deeper industry discussions that followed, covering a vast range of critical topics.

Expert-led sessions explored high-level exchange of ideas regarding equine nutrition, conformation science, and the future of veterinary education. Strategic dialogues further explored the development of scalable business models and the implementation of robust equine policies to support the growth of the sector. These discussions served as a confluence of insight and expertise, bringing together diverse stakeholders to address the logistical and administrative needs of a modern equine ecosystem.

The forum concluded with a formal valedictory session, with a renewed sense of purpose. This event successfully laid the groundwork for a more structured, professional, and sustainable equine industry in India.

With indepth sessions on equine health and welfare, expert-led discussions, and practical insights from veterinarians, trainers, and industry leaders, the day emphasized the importance of science backed practices and ethical standards in shaping the future of India’s equine ecosystem.

What stood out was the collective intent to translate ideas into action, strengthening systems, improving welfare standards, and building a more structured, professional framework for the industry.

From knowledge-sharing to solution-building, Day 2 marked a ascending step towards a more sustainable and progressive equine landscape.

The Day 2 of The Equestrian Forum kicked off with Live demonstration sessions focused on the technical precision and clinical excellence required to elevate the Indian equine industry.

Attendees witnessed a dynamic Show Jumping display by Team Japalouppe Japalouppe Equestrian Centre Pvt. Ltd., followed by a Live Physiotherapy demonstration by Ms. Maud Chatel, Equine Physiotherapy Expert which highlighted the critical importance of equine physical health and recovery.

The practical learning continued with a specialized Farriery demonstration led by Mr. Bernard Duvernay, Founder of The Flying Anvil Foundation, showcasing the essential craft of hoof care. These sessions provided the community with invaluable insights into the daily standards of care and performance needed.

By integrating these practical masterclasses into the forum, we are bridging the gap between traditional methods and global professional standards to build a more sustainable equestrian ecosystem in India.

Glimpses from Day 1 of The Equestrian Forum, where vision meets action, and conversations begin to shape the future of India’s equine industry.

Hosted by The Equine Collective under the aegis of MIT World Peace University, the forum brought together riders, trainers, veterinarians, breeders, and industry leaders on April 11, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Pune & Residences.

The Forum was inaugurated by Shri. Jaykumar Rawal, Hon’ble Minister of Marketing and Protocol, Government of Maharashtra and Smt. Pankaja Munde, Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Maharashtra alongside Dr. Rahul Karad, Executive President of MIT World Peace University.

From strategic perspectives on India’s equine ecosystem to global insights on welfare, nutrition, technology adoption, and indigenous horse breeds, the day featured powerful contributions from leading experts including Dr. Hasneyn Mirza, Yashaan Khambatta, Gaurav Rampal, Rohan More, Diana Al Shaer, Dr. Ravi Reddy, Bernard Duvernay, Jutta Putz, and Utpal S. Tatu, along with speakers Dr. Nitin Virmani, Dr. Peter Huntington, Mark Burnell, Kr Gajendra Pal Singhji Posana, Ranjeet Kher, Dr. Anhad Sindhu, Dhruvpal Singh Aanchan, Imtiaz Anees, Dr. David Sheerin, and Dr. Desmond Leadon.

Supported by Poonawalla Stud Farms in collaboration with Nanoli Stud Farm and the National Horse Breeding Society of India, the forum continues to build momentum toward a more structured and globally competitive equestrian ecosystem in India.

The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Rahul Karad (Executive President, MIT World Peace University), Dr. Ravi Reddy, Senior Veterinarian & President, Nanoli Stud Farm and Dr. Farrokh Wadia, President of the National Horse Breeding Society of India, who shared their thoughts and expertise in discussions regarding the industry’s strategic growth and development.

The Equestrian Forum beautifully unfolded today bringing together leading voices from across India’s equine community.

The Forum was inaugurated at the hands of our Chief Guests of Honour, Shri Jaykumar Rawal , Hon’ble Minister of Marketing and Protocol, Govt. of Maharashtra and Smt. Pankaja Munde , Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry, Environment and Climate Change, Govt. of Maharashtra. We were also joined by Dr. Rahul Karad , Executive President, MIT World Peace University and Dr. Farrokh Wadia, President of the National Horse Breeding Society of India, who contributed his extensive expertise to the panel discussions on the industry’s strategic growth.

As riders, trainers, veterinarians, breeders, and key stakeholders came together under one roof, the forum fostered a rich exchange of ideas, strengthened collaboration, and laid the groundwork for a more structured and sustainable equine ecosystem in India.

Today, a Press Conference was convened to announce ‘The Equestrian Forum,’ a first-of-its-kind national platform dedicated to shaping the future of India’s equine industry which is scheduled on April 11 and 12, 2026, in Pune. The first day (11th April) of the Conference is scheduled at the Hyatt Hotel, Pune. The day 12th April 2026 will begin at the MIT World Peace University, Pune Kothrud campus.

The press conference was addressed by Dr. F. F. Wadia, President of the National Horse Breeding Society of India; Mr. Rohan More, Co-Founder of Japalouppe Equestrian Centre; Ms. Gayatri Karad, Founder of The Equine Collective; Prof. Ravishankar Sahu, Associate Director of CIAP at MIT-WPU; and Dr. Vaibhav Wagh, Director of Sports at MIT-WPU.

The forum aims to bring together riders, trainers, veterinarians, breeders, and industry stakeholders to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and build a more structured and sustainable equine ecosystem in India.
