🇬🇷✈️ ONE WEEK TO GO! ✈️🇬🇷
The countdown is officially on! In just 7 days, Roscrea Youth Service will be heading to Greece for an unforgettable adventure. 🌞🌊
Our young people are busy getting ready for a week of new experiences, new friendships, cultural exchange, learning, fun, and memories that will last a lifetime.

🌍✨ Exciting News from Roscrea Youth Service! ✨🌍

We are absolutely delighted to share that Roscrea Youth Service has been successful in our application for an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange! 🎉

A group of young people from our Youth Diversion Project have been selected to take part in a KA152 Youth Exchange alongside partners from Greece and Italy. The project, titled “Myths and Values: Exploring European Ideals through Celtic, Greek and Roman Heritage”, promises to be an incredible cultural and educational journey.

In June, participants from Roscrea and Naples will travel to Larisa and Athens in Greece 🇬🇷, where they will explore shared heritage, culture, and values. Highlights of the trip will include visits to incredible sites such as Meteora, Mount Olympus, and historic landmarks in Athens including the Parthenon.

Then in August, we’ll welcome our Greek and Italian partners to Ireland 🇮🇪 for an exciting trip to Donegal and the North of Ireland. During their stay, participants will visit iconic locations such as the Giant’s Causeway and Derry City, where they will learn about the history of the Civil Rights Movement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the young people involved and marks a major milestone — a first for Roscrea Youth Service! We are incredibly proud and excited to be part of this initiative.

A huge thank you to Leargas and the European Union for their support and funding, making this amazing experience possible. 🙌

Junior Section (1st–3rd Years): 6:00 PM
Senior Section (4th–6th Years): 7:00 PM

Everyone at Roscrea Youth Service would like to wish our own Tomzie Harty the very best of luck as he travels to Sweden this weekend to represent Ireland and Roscrea in boxing.

We are incredibly proud of everything Tomzie has achieved through his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the sport. Earning the opportunity to compete internationally is a fantastic achievement and a credit to all the effort he has put in along the way.

We know you'll do yourself, your family, your club, and your country proud. Enjoy every minute of the experience, take it all in, and give it your very best.

Huge thank you to all of the local businesses who very kindly donated refreshments for our Darkness Into Light walk and too Roscrea Lions Club for donating the use of their space, where walkers could came together afterwards . 💛

Your generosity, kindness and community spirit helped make the event so welcoming for everyone who attended. From the early hours of the morning, the teas, coffees, Water and treats were so appreciated by all taking part. ☕✨

We are incredibly lucky to have such supportive local businesses always willing to get behind community events and help in any way they can. Your support never goes unnoticed and we are truly grateful.
