Eoin Lorigan completes “Swim 100k in May”!!!

Last Sunday morning Eoin’s wife Eve and his son Kai, Lions Club members and friends turned out in great numbers to witness Eoin complete the final stage of his gruelling “Swim 100k in May”. His proud son, Kai accompanied him as they both swam the final laps!! It was an incredible undertaking and Roscrea Lions Club is indebted to Eoin for his huge commitment. All funds raised by Eoin will support Roscrea Lions Club's Rosemary Project; a project that was set up in 2016 to support families in our community that care for children with various challenging issues. The Rosemary Project offers these families a day out, a fun-filled break, with every possible support to ensure everyone can cope and make happy memories. To date, many families have benefited from the project. You can still donate to this wonderful cause as the idonate page will remain open until the 11th of June.

Lions club members turned out in great numbers for Eoin Lorigans final laps in his “Swim 100k in May” fundraiser yesterday morning. What a fantastic achievement by Eoin👏👏👏 His generous effort will be of great benefit to the Rosemary Project. Here are some photos of the launch of Eoin Lorigans Swimathon for
“The Rosemary Project”🌈.
Eoin, pictured here with Lions members and family members, has braved this challenge relentlessly and has almost completed the mammoth 100k swim to fundraise for this amazing cause.

The Rosemary Project🌈, established in 2014, supports families caring for children with various challenges by providing them with a completely stress-free, happy family day out. The initiative offers full support, so everyone can relax and celebrate, allowing families to choose a destination that best suits their needs. Ultimately, the project aims to create joyful, lasting memories and give these families a reason to smile!

Marian McGreevy, Lions Club District Governor, and her husband, Frank, visited our Club on the 11th of May. She presented chevrons to members for their service to the Club over the years. The proud recipients were Bill Hanly (50 years service), Seamus Dennison (45 years) and Liam Spooner (35 years). In her address she praised the breadth of projects being undertaken by the Club and acknowkedged the vision, commitment and hard work of members. She wished us every best wish going forward.

The Lions Club had a very special request this week!!!✉️.
We all know that Santa’s reindeer are preparing for their long exhausting journey on Christmas Eve🎅
Well can you believe it?! Santa himself contacted us directly, requesting a shipment of the reindeer’s FAVOURITE food?!📦

None other than “Roscrea Lions Club Magic Reindeer Food”!! 🦌🦌🦌

Santa has just sent us these photos from the North Pole of Rudolf enjoying a bag. It was delivered to them by our member Ivan earlier in the week.
We think it will give them some extra speed, magic and lift on Christmas Eve !!✨✨✨✨

Roscrea Lions Club recently presented a cheque for €12,000 to North Tipperary Hospice, as part of our ongoing project “Let's rear a Calf for Hospice”. 🐄🐮
In this fantastic initiative we work in partnership alongside our farming community, with the shared goal to benefit and support vital hospice care, and a further long term goal, to establish a centre for patients in Roscrea and surrounding area.

🎄We are delighted to see this wonderful Christmas tree again, erected in Rosemary Square, as it is every year. It really enhances the Square and helps in bringing a festive feel to Roscrea🎅. Kindly donated and erected by our own Lion Ivan Hastings in association with Roscrea Lions Club.
