🎨 We are incredibly grateful to the wonderfully talented Toni Walters, Futureart_bytoni, for her continued kindness and support of The Midleton Hub.

As part of Midleton Art Week, Toni displayed her beautiful artwork locally and has very generously donated the proceeds of the sales to support the work we do within the community.

This is not the first time Toni has supported us, she has consistently donated artwork, supported fundraisers and encouraged the work of our charity. Her belief in what we are trying to achieve genuinely means so much to us.

It is people like Toni, and the kindness of our community, that help keep us going and allow us to continue providing accessible mental health supports to those who need them most.

A true Friend of The Hub 💚

We still have some of Toni’s beautiful pieces available for purchase here at The Midleton Hub, with proceeds continuing to support our services. Please feel free to call in and have a look.

Thank you again Toni, your generosity, talent and support never go unnoticed. 🫶

Finishing up the week, we really want to take a moment to acknowledge the kindness, generosity and support we have received over the past few days.
Every donation, every share, every message of encouragement and every conversation reminding us that people believe in what we are doing genuinely means more than we can put into words.
Your support does not just make a financial difference, it gives us the motivation and strength to keep pushing forward, especially on the difficult days. Knowing that our community understands the importance of accessible mental health support reminds us why we continue to fight so hard to keep these services available.
Thank you for standing behind us, for encouraging us, and for helping us continue to support people who need somewhere safe to turn.
From all of us at The Midleton Hub - thank you. 💚

We know this is a bit long winded… but please hear us out 💚

Truthfully, we don’t enjoy constantly posting about funding or asking for support. We wish we didn’t have to. We wish services like ours were properly funded so that our focus could remain solely on helping people rather than worrying every month about how to keep the doors open.

But the honest reality is without you, our supporters and community, The Midleton Hub simply would not exist.

And the sad truth is, if the heavily funded systems already in place were working properly, services like ours wouldn’t be needed in the first place.

We are here because the system is broken.
Every single day we hear from people desperately trying to access support. People going to their GP and being told they may wait months through public services. People looking privately but unable to afford €80+ per session. People turned away elsewhere because they are “not in crisis enough” or because they have reached a cap of 6 or 12 sessions.

At The Midleton Hub, we believe support should not work like that.
If you need support, we want to be able to provide it.
We don’t ask people to prove their income to access reduced-cost counselling. We don’t tell people “your sessions are up.”
We say: “We are here for as long as you need us.”

Clients contribute what they can comfortably afford, whether that is €20 or our maximum fee of €50. This not only helps contribute towards the real cost of providing professional support, but also gives people dignity, ownership and investment in their own healing journey.

Low-cost should never mean low-quality.
All of our practitioners are qualified, insured, Garda vetted, and accredited or pre-accredited with their professional bodies. We are a registered charity, fully GDPR compliant, and work hard to maintain the highest standards possible with very limited resources.
We are incredibly proud of the service we provide.

What many people don’t see is that behind the scenes, we operate on a fraction of the budget of larger organisations. We don’t have large fundraising departments, advertising budgets, paid media campaigns or teams of admin staff. We have one person carrying multiple operational roles every single day because we try to keep our costs as low as possible so that as much money as possible goes directly back into supporting people.

We know people are tired of being asked for support. We are tired of having to ask.

But right now, it truly is this community that is keeping our doors open.
And the reality is you never truly understand how important accessible mental health support is until the day you or someone you love needs it.

Thank you for continuing to stand beside us 💚

We are genuinely blown away by the incredible support shown all the way from Vancouver 💚

A massive thank you to local man Dylan Horgan, founder of SoundMinds, who organised a fundraising music event on April 24th in support of The Midleton Hub. We are so grateful to share that an amazing €1,401.24 was raised on the night.😮

From everything we have heard, the event was a huge success with a fantastic atmosphere and wonderful support shown throughout the evening. It means so much to us that people, even across the other side of the world, believe in the importance of accessible mental health support within our community.

Every single euro raised will go directly back into providing counselling and mental health supports for those who need them most.

Dylan, thank you for your kindness, effort and belief in what we are trying to do. We truly cannot thank you enough 🫶

We were so proud today to spot the very first of our “Friend of The Midleton Hub” window stickers displayed by the wonderful Bertelli Menswear 💚

To say we are grateful for the support local businesses have shown us lately would honestly be an understatement. The kindness, encouragement and community spirit being shown to our little charity has meant more than we could ever properly put into words.

At a time where we are under real pressure financially, seeing businesses stand beside us like this gives us genuine hope for the future of The Midleton Hub and the people who rely on our supports.

Thank you again to Sinead and Bertelli Menswear for becoming a Friend of The Midleton Hub 🫶

If any local businesses would like to get involved or learn a little more about becoming a Friend of The Hub, please feel free to reach out to us anytime.
