As we approach our two-week summer closure, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you. ๐
Thank you to everyone who has supported The Midleton Hub so far this year, those who have donated, fundraised, attended events, shared our posts, supported our campaigns, become Friends of the Hub, and simply helped us spread the word about what we do.
We also want to be honest.
Right now, we are struggling.
The Midleton Hub is currently supporting around 130 people who rely on our services. Demand continues to grow and we are busier than ever. We desperately want to continue providing affordable, accessible mental health and wellbeing support to the people in our community who need us.
We apply for every grant and funding opportunity available to us, but unfortunately, we are not always successful. We receive no guaranteed core funding, and the reality is that what keeps our doors open is our community.
We hate having to constantly ask for support, but at this stage, we genuinely do not have a choice.
If you, your business, or someone you know could support us in any way, we would be incredibly grateful. Whether that is:
๐ Becoming a Friend of The Midleton Hub
๐ Making a once-off or monthly donation
๐ Organising a fundraiser
๐ Choosing us as your workplace or community charity
๐ Sharing our work with others
๐ Donating through our GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/245d8d37d
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
As we always say, we are not trying to make a profit. We simply want to keep our doors open and continue being there for the people who come to us looking for support.
We are doing everything we can. We are fighting hard to keep the Hub going. But the reality is that we are supporting more people than ever before, and without continued support, we may eventually reach a point where we have no choice but to turn people away, something we never want to have to do.
The people who use our services are more than numbers. They are members of our community who are reaching out because they need somewhere to turn.
If you can help us continue to be that place, we and the people who rely on our services would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and helping us keep going. ๐
