We were delighted to be joined by so many past pupils at our recent annual dinner in The Garryvoe Hotel. ‘Celebrating the Sixes’ we had tables for the classes 1986, 1996 and 2006 Harty winning team, along with other groups joining us for their own reunions.
We were delighted to welcome Br. David Gibson CFC, Province Leader of the Christian Brothers in Ireland along with the Presidents of CBC, PBC, St. Colmans and North Mon Past Pupils Unions.
Our guest speaker on the night was past pupil David Watson from the LC class of ’93. David is a very successful entrepreneur in the world of finance and tech. He set up and runs ‘Ohme’, Europe’s leading manufacturer of home car charging units. On the night David reminisced of his school days, his memories of being on the school’s athletics team and the adventures that went with that.
Thank you to all who attended our dinner and made it such an enjoyable night. We look forward to welcoming you again next year as we bring the Classes of 2017, 2007, 1997, 1987, 1977, and beyond back together.

Class of 1996 – 30 Year Anniversary Reunion

In 2026, the Class of 1996 will mark a significant milestone — 30 years since completing their Leaving Certificate at Midleton CBS.

To celebrate the occasion, the Midleton CBS Past Pupils Union is delighted to host a 30-year reunion dinner on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, taking place at the Garryvoe Hotel, with arrival from 7.00pm.

The reunion promises to be a relaxed and enjoyable evening, giving past pupils the chance to renew old friendships, reminisce about schooldays, and celebrate three decades since their time in Midleton CBS.

Members of the Class of 1996 are encouraged to share this information with former classmates who may not follow the school on social media.

Class of 2006 – 20 Year Reunion
This year marks 20 years since the Class of 2006 sat their Leaving Certificate, and to mark the occasion, the Midleton CBS Past Pupils Union will host their annual reunion dinner on Friday, January 23rd, 2026 at the Garryvoe Hotel, with arrival from 7.00pm.

The evening will provide a great opportunity for past pupils to reconnect with former classmates, share memories, and celebrate an important milestone since their time in Midleton CBS.

Our next Past Pupils Union Annual Dinner will have a special focus on those who completed their Leaving Cert in years ending in ‘6 - 2016, 2006, 1996, 1986, 1976, and beyond!
Whether you’re celebrating a 10, 20, 30, or even 50-year milestone, we’d love to see you there.
Of course, all past pupils are warmly welcome to join us for what promises to be another great night of memories, laughter, and connection.

A huge congratulations to all our award recipients at this year’s PPU Awards, which was held last week. It was a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements, talents, and efforts of our students across academics, sport, the arts, and community involvement. Well done to everyone recognised on the night, you’ve made your school and community proud!
Our thanks to the Past Pupils Union who for the 58th time sponsored this wonderful evening and continue to support and recognise our students hard work.

Andy Wall presented with Honorary Lifetime Membership in recognition of over 50 years contribution to the Past Pupils Union.

At a recent committee meeting Treasurer Andy Wall was presented with Honorary Lifetime Membership in acknowledgement and appreciation of his 50 years of active involvement in the Past Pupils Union. This pays tribute to all the work that Andy has done with such generosity of spirit in the service of both Midleton CBS Primary and Secondary School throughout his time with the Past Pupils Union. Andy has served as the committee Treasurer since 2003 and previously served as the President in 1983 and 1988.
All of us in the PPU are grateful for his work and presence in our Union over the last number of years and look forward to continuing this into the future.

Congratulations Fearghal, an incredible achievement.

Congratulations to past pupil Fearghal Curtin who set a new Irish Record at the Gyeongju Marathon in South Korea in a time of 2:07:54 . This is Fearghal's second Irish record in 4 weeks as he set the Half Marathon record recently.
Congrautions Fearghal; we are all incredibly proud of your achievements!
