Our Multicultural Fest on 31st May at was nothing short of magical.
Held in celebration of Eid, we were absolutely over the moon to see such an incredible turnout from the community.

We were honoured to welcome Cllr. Azad Talukder, representing Mayor John Moran.
Thank you for joining us, being part of our celebration, and acknowledging the work we do for the community.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing vendors for bringing a vibrant cultural display and delicious spread — your presence made the day truly special.

To our lovely volunteers, thank you for your time, energy, and heart.
And as always, a huge shout‑out to our MSOE Limerick team for working tirelessly behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly.

A huge thank you to Wickham Way for giving us the space to host this amazing celebration — your support means so much to us.

Community, culture, and connection — that’s what it’s all about. 💛✨

Our community walks stronger when we walk together.
Join us for our 3 Bridges Walk with historian Sharon Slater, as we explore Limerick’s stories side by side.

We’ll meet at 28 John’s Street - North Star Family, then return for tea, coffee, and refreshments — the perfect moment to share the new facts we’ve learned and connect with one another.

Strong women, strong stories, strong community. 💛

🌍 **Interactive Kids’ Game at Our Multicultural Fest!**

We’re introducing a **fun and educational activity** for children this Sunday — an **interactive multicultural passport game!** For just **€2** each child will receive their own passport with pages to fill in. They’ll be encouraged to visit different stalls, ask vendors questions, and learn something new from the cultures around them. Once their passport is complete, they can collect a **special goodie bag** from us.

We have an amazing lineup of countries taking part — **Somalia, Nigeria, Pakistan, India, Ireland, Palestine, Brazil, Egypt and more.**
**Passports are limited,** so come early if you don’t want your child to miss this lovely learning experience.

There will also be **colouring, face painting, and henna art** to keep the little ones entertained throughout the day.

What a day at the UL Access Campus! Students from universities all over the world visited to see the incredible community work happening on campus — and we were so proud to be part of it.

Muslim Sisters of Éire Limerick joined fellow collaborators like the Women’s Shed, LCETB, and many more in a buzzing room full of connection and culture.

Our very own teammates lit up the space with the Bangladeshi national anthem, followed by beautiful performances in Ukrainian and Irish. A true celebration of diversity, unity, and community spirit.

Feeling grateful for the warm conversations and the amazing people we met.

A lovely morning at Limerick Mental Health Association with the wonderful ladies of Muslim Sisters of Éire Limerick.
We began with a fun ice‑breaker, followed by an insightful talk from Emily on the importance of mental health, self‑care, and breaking the stigma around women taking time out for themselves.

From burnout and stress to menopause and the emotional load so many women carry, the conversation was open, honest and deeply relatable. The room felt safe, warm and full of shared wisdom.

We were especially delighted to be joined by our founder Lorraine O’Connor .oconnor.14 , along with team member Nora, who travelled all the way from Dublin to be part of this morning’s gathering.

Some beautiful takeaways we’re bringing into our daily lives: talking to someone when we feel overwhelmed, journaling to lighten the mind, and giving ourselves permission to rest.

A heartfelt thank you to Ian Hackett and the team for hosting us so generously at the Solace Café, and to all the amazing ladies who joined us this morning.

Honoured to represent Muslim Sisters of Éire Limerick at a facilitated dialogue on social cohesion in Limerick, organised by The Wheel Community on the 27th and 28th of April 2026, at the Istabraq hall.

Grateful to sit alongside community leaders and changemakers as we explored what a truly cohesive, resilient Limerick can look like over two inspiring days.

A heartfelt thank you to Johnny Sheehan for organising and managing this dialogue with such care and intention. A lot was learned from all the wonderful leaders who contributed their insights and experiences.

Deep appreciation as well to facilitators Cecilia Forrestal and Monica Manning, whose thoughtful methodology encouraged us to slow down, listen deeply, and take the time to understand and relate to each idea before responding.
Spaces like these remind us that dialogue is powerful — and that every voice matters in shaping the communities we call home.
