The Northstar Family Support Project is a community based charity providing non-judgemental, confidential support to loved ones and family members of those in substance misuse. Northstar Family Support Project works to achieve some of the following:

- To support families of people suffering the effects of substance misuse

- Provide information to families and communities on services and supports available

- To remain community based and work from community development principles

-To support people through the process of self-empowerment and ongoing coping skills

- To be open to training and development

-To be completely non-judgemental in our approach

-To be open to change in order to respond to the changing needs of our community

-To establish and maintain links with voluntary / community and statutory organisations to enable referrals to be made

-Remember and commemorate those who have died as a result of substance misuse

We're looking for performers!

Whether you're an individual with a favourite artist to impersonate or a workplace, community group or local service that would like to get together and represent your organisation on the night, we'd love to hear from you. No professional experience needed – just a willingness to have fun and support a great cause!

Celebrating diversity, community, and belonging during 🌍❤️

It was wonderful to join Katla Thorhildardottir from WCI Limerick and John Lannon, CEO of Doras, at Limerick Youth Services to celebrate the many cultures that enrich our community.

From delicious food from Palestine, Nigeria, Mexico, and beyond, to great conversations and connections, it was a fantastic celebration of welcome, inclusion, and shared experiences.
