Promoting volunteerism from the local community to help with our litter picks and Spring cleanups. We opened our Bird Observatory on the Navvy Bank, which is the only one between Belfast and

Dublin. Dundalk Tidy Towns has achieved Gold Medal status in the Tidy Towns awards 2007-2019, 2021, 2022 as well as Highly Commended Award for County Louth.

Repair Café is back! Join us at our relaxed Repair Café at Creative Spark HQ on Saturday, 19 Sept 2026 , 10am–1pm.

Bring along 1–3 small household items and team up with our volunteer fixers to diagnose and repair them together — we can usually fix one item per person.

What you can bring:
📷 Cameras - Fix your old camera at our camera repair station
🧵 Textiles & clothing – seams, buttons, small tears
🪵 Small wooden items – chairs, toys, shelves (repairs only)
⚡ Small electricals – kitchen items (no laptops or large appliances)

How it works:
This isn’t a drop-off service — you stay with your item and learn by doing. Repairs aren’t guaranteed and some items may be declined for safety or complexity.

Important:
• One item fixed per person (if there’s time, you can re-join the queue).
• Volunteers aren’t liable for damage; all work is at your own risk.
• Please follow safety guidance on the day.

🌿 Nature, creativity, and outdoor fun! 🎨

Give your child the chance to explore, create, and connect with nature in this hands-on workshop for children aged 6–11.

Inspired by the Forest School approach, each session begins in the DIG garden, where participants will discover a different gardening or nature theme each week. From propagating plants and exploring herbs to harvesting seeds and learning about flowers, every session offers something new to uncover.

After their time outdoors, children will head back to the classroom to create a nature-inspired art project, taking home a unique handmade piece that reflects their day's adventures.

Perfect for curious young minds who love being outdoors, getting creative, and learning through play in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

🚯 Littering fines are increasing

From 1 September 2026, the fixed payment notice for littering will increase from €150 to €250.

Littering harms our environment, threatens wildlife, and impacts the appearance of our towns, villages, parks and beaches.

Let's all do our part to keep Louth clean. ♻
