The initiative offers local businesses and organisations a unique opportunity to raise their profile by supporting the maintenance and landscaping of 28 selected roundabouts throughout County Louth, many of them located on high-traffic routes carrying significant volumes of daily traffic.

Good news for property owners in Dundalk town centre!
Louth County Council is encouraging owners of older buildings to take advantage of the Living City Initiative, and the Dundalk Chamber is hosting a special Information Session to explain everything.
📅 Date: Tuesday 23rd June 2026
🕔 Time: 5:00pm – 6:30pm
📍 Venue: McGeough’s, Roden Place (upstairs)
This is a great opportunity if you own a property built before 1975 in the designated Special Regeneration Areas. The Initiative offers valuable tax relief to help you repair, improve, or convert older buildings — including turning vacant upper floors and “over-the-shop” spaces into new homes.
Benefits include:
• Reducing the cost of renovation works
• Bringing vacant or under-used spaces back into productive use
• Increasing property value
• Creating new rental income opportunities
• Protecting historic buildings and supporting vibrant town centres
If you think your building may qualify, I strongly encourage you to come along.

I hope you see you there.
