Beavers Clean up for their Community work

This week, our Tuesday Beavers (ages 6–9) went out for a walk and cleaned up the playground and got to stay for a bit!

Well done to them and for making the playground a cleaner place for others.

Thank you to our adult volunteer scouters for their continued support and dedication to our youth members.

What a fantastic weekend at Beech Cottage, Edenderry for our Cubs Summer Camp! 🌞🏕️

Over the past weekend, the Cubs have enjoyed archery, forest camp activities, games, whistle making, campfires, plenty of outdoor adventures, and more ice cream and candy floss than anyone thought possible! 🍦🍭

Most importantly, we have seen great teamwork, friendship, kindness, and fun throughout the weekend, with Cubs supporting one another and making memories that will last a long time.

A special well done to our Chief Scout Award Cubs, who took on the challenge of sleeping in tents and showed great resilience, independence, and determination.

We hope the Cubs had as much fun as the adults did!

Thank you to all our Volunteer Adult Scouters who helped make the weekend such a success. From planning, budgeting, shopping and building the program - Thank you for everything you do 👏💪🫡

We are always looking for new Adult Volunteers - get in touch if want to join in our adventures!

In Scouting Ireland, earning your Wood Beads is a significant achievement. It recognises that an adult volunteer has completed the required leadership and programme training for their role and is committed to ongoing development as a Scouter. The Wood Badge is recognised worldwide through the World Organisation of the Scout Movement.

To earn your Wood Beads these Scouters would have completed several courses and tasks to complete the Wood Badge Trail.

🎉 Congratulations to Barry Hannon, Georgina Whiteley, and Elaine Whelan on earning their Wood Beads last weekend - and also to Pat Balfe from Monasterevin Scout Group 🎉

Everyone in 4th Kildare Town Scout Group is delighted to congratulate them on completing their Wood Badge training journey with Scouting Ireland.

Thank you to Barry, Georgina, Elaine and Pat, for your dedication, enthusiasm, and service to Scouting. Your achievement reflects the countless hours you invest in supporting our youth members and helping them develop skills for life.

Well done and congratulations on this important milestone! ⚜️

Thank you for everything you do 👏💪🫡

We are always looking for new Adult Volunteers - get in touch if want to join in our adventures!

Yesterday we made another food bank donation on behalf of our Thursday Cub Scouts to Teach Dara Community & Family Centre, Kildare Town.

Thank you to our Cub Scouts (9-12yrs) and their families who took on this charitable donation to help others in our community. We are so proud to support our local Family Resource Centre food bank appeal.

Participating in a food bank appeal strengthens core Scouting values, including service, empathy, and active citizenship. It provides a meaningful, real-world opportunity to understand social inequality, develop compassion, and see the tangible impact of collective action.

The 4th Kildare Town Scout Group are always looking for *New Adult Volunteers* to join in our activities and adventures, and social and educational journeys. To learn more about scouting and our group, please visit http://4thkildaretownscouts.com/
