IMVG Welcome to the page of the Irish Military Vehicles Group. We are group of people interested in Military Vehicles and how they were used in service.

We are group of people interested in the restoration of military vehicles used by the Irish Defense Forces through the years. Our interests extend to Military Shows and re-enactments and we travel around the country supporting these activities. We currently have over 40 members who currently own over 30 vehicles and are based in Leinster, about 30 minutes drive from Dublin. We are always intereste

d in meeting people who share our interests. You do not have to own a vehicle to join our group. If you are interested in military history and the part vehicles have played in the great events of the last 100 years, please contact us at [email protected]
You are most welcome to come along to our storage facility and workshop where you can see the vehicles, meet our members and get a feel for how we operate. You can also meet us at any of the shows and events listed in our programme for the year.

Year 1959
Designed initially for oil field use for moving pipe lines and then used by the British Army as a tank transporter for moving the centurion and then Chieftain main battle tanks.

Road tested to 126tons but would far exceeds that.

History : spent some time in Singapore and later in Germany as a tank transporter.

Exceptionally low mileage.

Used up until the 1980s
